This is about right.

And about how I feel as a North Dakotan in the Twin Cities.

    Really?

To be fair to the poor folks in DC and along the rest of the east coast, they’re looking at as much as 2 feet of snow in a short period of time, and of course they lack the resources we normally maintain for our significant annual snow fall.

WE birtch about 2 feet of snow in a short period of time.

NoDak bitches about 2 feet of snow, particularly when accompanied by significant winds blowing it around.

Still see yourself as a North Dakotan? Sheesh, you’ve been here how many decades now (I’ve known you for 25 years). Dear man, you WERE a No-dakotan; you’ve been here long enough to be a Minnesotan by now, LOL.

Somehow I’m hoping that they have trouble. The rest of the country generally does better when DC doesn’t work.

And for what it’s worth, I remember driving to work the afternoon after 15 inches of snow fell a few years back. It is as if all those trucks they use for building roads also have a “frame” that you can use for bolting on a snowplow, and “hydraulic systems” that will operate those plows.

Of course, in DC, it’s more important to subsidize electric cars than to be prepared for the 15-20 inches of snow that fall annually.

DG, you have lived on earth for umpteen years yet it is hard to call you an earthling, not with the color of sky wherever it is you come from.

Oh, and “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow’. I am having fun here in TX with my coworkers bitching about 45deg weather today (it is supposed to get back into mid 60s on Sunday). I forwarded the link to them – very appropo.
