And Another One

A shooting at Umpqua Community College in southwestern Oregon has apparently claimed 10.

First things first; I’ll urge prayers, or whatever your worldview calls for, for the survivors, and the families of the victims.

And I urge you not to believe anything the media has to say about it for the next couple days.

But it bears noting that Umpqua is – you guessed it…:

The community college is a gun-free campus.

“Possession, use, or threatened use of firearms (including but not limited to BB guns, air guns, water pistols, and paint guns) ammunition, explosives, dangerous chemicals, or any other objects as weapons on college property, except as expressly authorized by law or college regulations, is prohibited,” the college’s security policy states.

How many more innocent lives will be sacrificed to the false god of gun control?

UPDATE: Well, this is kinda interesting:

[Korney Moore, an 18 year old student] said she saw her teacher get shot in the head, apparently after the gunman came into the classroom. At that point, Moore told the newspaper, the shooter ordered everyone to get on the ground. The shooter then asked people to stand up and state their religion and then started firing, Moore said..

Huh.

  1. And another one – 14 shot in Chicago in 15 hours this past weekend. Who does Rahm blame? Correct – not whom but what: guns. No, wait, isn’t all of Chicago a gun-free zone with most restrictive gun laws? How can that be?

  2. Letting a child attend a college campus unarmed is a clear dereliction of parental duty.

  3. This is indeed a tragedy and I will pray for the victims and their families. That said, the idiot in chief is right; these incidents are happening with more frequency. Coincidence? I’m starting to think not.

  4. It looks like he was a lone wolf progressive.

The guy looks liberal from the MySpace pictures.
He sounds liberal as the creator of an anonymous thread on the really liberal (and sick) 4chan.org (archive below which includes a frog profile picture with a gun) on a channel, https://boards.4chan.org/r9k/, or robot9001, on which Mercer and one other shooter posted in the past, according to a poster, and which has creepy people posting sick encouragement and false info to CNN and the Examiner, whose reporters posted appeals for info, such as that Toby Reynolds, a 4chan member known as eggman, was the OP. OP is “original poster” or the thread creator.

Some of you guys are alright. Don’t go to school tomorrow if you are in the northwest.

happening thread will be posted tomorrow morning

    so long space robots

I don’t know if Mercer monitored his 4chan.org thread Wednesday night, or if he even was the OP, but if he did, he did not respond well to at least two appeals not to do it.

  5. Nothing new and so much the same old thing that it is hardly worth a prominent place of the front page. Someone explodes and goes “off” and takes a gun and kills a lot of people — typically they are unknown to the shooter or known only in passing and the outrage lasts for a few days with the same people saying the same things.

  6. Obama is expressing wonderment and dismay at the routine manner with which slaughter is accepted.

Maybe Dr. Deborah Nucatola can explain it to him over lunch.

  7. “Maybe Dr. Deborah Nucatola can explain it to him over lunch”.

If Deborah isn’t available, perhaps professor Amy Bishop could do it.

4Chan is claiming that they were celebrating the birthday of the site, not celebrating the shootings.

  8. 4Chan is a reflection of our 21st century, Brave New Obamanation.
