Shot in the Dark

Question

From the news about the shooting last week, in which a citizen with a carry permit shot Laurentai Broadbent, age 16, as he tried to rob him:

A memorial service was held for Broadbent at Memorial Park on Aug. 2, during which a white Mercedes crashed into a water fountain and the monuments. Shots were also fired.

No word on whether any Confederate flags were involved.

Curious. The print media opted to ignore the gunfire and chaos at young Lavauntai’s memorial service. Looks like only FOX9 saw that little item as newsworthy.

Also, I’m wondering if there isn’t business to be had selling memorial T-shirts to family and friends of aspiring rappers who end up shot to death while they are busy turning their lives around to support their shorty’s.

OK, got it. Fly a Confederate flag while bothering nobody, you’re horrible. Shoot a pistol into the air in a city and crash your car in a park, just fine.

And the group hurt most by this attitude; urban blacks.

Crash a Mercedes into a structure? Probably some white guy who’d watched “Road House” one too many times.

Another thought; you’ve got gang signs all over this kid’s funeral, guns fired, cars crashed…one wonders how much the city’s crime rate would have gone down if some undercover cops were there to identify and make arrests. Seems that the guest book may have been a gangland who’s who for Pig’s Eye.

That would never happen. Not only would it be incredibly racist, it would heap on a big slice of insensitive (since it would have happened at a funeral to remember “the good boy who only got into a little trouble here and there”), which would automatically be converted into extra special industrial strength racism, boosting the original amount of racism. It’s cumulative, don’cha know?
