Not that it matters, of course, because as we found in the Fort Hood massacre, even major post, much less recruiting stations, are gun free anyway.

It hurts to say it, but I think that Biden is more on-the-ball than Obama.
The left thinks hey if we a pass a law we can help protect people. Putting up a sign that something is like a gun free zone is a law so how come we have so many shootings at places that were declared to be gun free zones. In part because the person broke a law. So isn’t this proof already a new law might not work since there is proof people will break a law and kill people?

I didn’t know Marine Corps flew the confederate naval jack in their recruiting offices. If they would have listened to the wise leftists in Washington, and removed it, none of this would have happened.
BTW, since Muzzie terrorists love to cut living human beings to shreds, maybe the FBI should have a look into the staff at Planned Infanticide abattoirs.
I’m all for citizen self-defense–or self-defense by our service members–but when I looked at the windows, it struck me that the damage pattern is something called “laminated tempered glass”–basically what banks use as bulletproof glass. So that glass was already hardened against pistol rounds, and hence if you’d armed the recruiters, they’d have had a hard time (a) seeing their targets and making sure they weren’t shooting innocents as well and (b) getting pistol rounds through that glass.
If the other facility was similar, you’ve got the same situation. Again, no quibble against armed Marines–that’s what we pay them to be–but someone seriously needs to think through the tactics of defending such an installation, because that’s what’s really going on.
Remember that guy who killed his three Muslim neighbors in February? The killer was a crazy atheist. The murderers were the result of a parking dispute. Ever hear any follow up on that? Me neither, though at the time our glorious MSM leaned heavily towards the “hate crime” theory.
Dylann Roof was part of what wide-ranging racist, anti-government conspiracy? Sons of the Confederates? There was a lot of speculation just after the murders that Roof was connected with the KKK or some white supremacist group. I’m going way out a limb here and say that there are none, or we would have heard about it by now.
Like the man said, as far as America’s elites are concerned, we have a supply and demand problem. The elites need white Christian terrorists, but there aren’t any. The elites don’t want Muslim terrorists of Middle-Eastern origin, but that seems to be all they get.
BTW, you can tell it’s tempered because it broke into zillions of little square pieces, and it’s laminated because it didn’t just fall to the ground. Basically the same hurricane glass that 7-11s use on the Gulf.
TPM buries the story. The commenters at TPM are convinced that yesterday’s shooting is a gun control issue, e.g., the fault lies with the NRA and its white, male Republican voting members.
They say that the church shooting was definitely racist terrorism, and is clearly the fault of white, male conservatives.
Do not underestimate the social class and race-based hatred the Left bears you if you are a conservative white male. You are the new Kulak, as far as they are concerned.
And the Braindead award for response to this tragedy and call for arming marines goes to Juan Williams.
