According to Congressman Charley Wilson (you know the guy who pushed us into supplying the afgan resistance) we did not support or train Osama bin Laden. In fact it was well understood at the time that he hated the U.S. more so than the Soviets. We are all infidels and must be killed has always been Osama’s position.

We sold tons & tons of scrap metal to Japan in the 30s and into 1940. They promptly turned that scrap metal into components of their ordinance. Some of which took their toll at Pearl Harbor.
