Senator Thompson – who will be a guest on the NARN on Saturday – pretty well nailed the Governor’s tantrum:
And Andy Aplikowski, on Facebook, made the sterling point that Governor Dayton is touring the state trying to convince Minnesotans he “cares about children”…
…with his Lieutenant Governor, Tina Flint-Smith, former executive butcherette of Planned Parenthood (aka “The Vandalia Abattoir”).
Mitch:
You might want to ask Dave about this tomorrow. An important person in Hennepin County put out a message recently about high risk youth. He claims the high risk youth have the problem of education failure. Now given years ago Minneapolis adopted a system which has now been in place for more than 12 years of smaller class sizes to increase education performance how exactly does even more money make a difference? Minneapolis is one of the poorer performing school districts in the state I gather even though they spend I assume in the top ten on per pupil spending.
I don’t see more money working and Dayton’s plan at best will divert money away from those teenagers who need it more right now.
