You could never get a law like that past the racist GOP congress!
Sadly, it would have to be an executive order.

Nah, they’ll just change the manner in which they calculate the unemployment rate. If they did the employment rate now the way we did it in the 30s we’d be in another Great Depression rather than in our “Obama Recovery”. Heck, if we did GDP calculations the way they were done before 2008 our economy would have a significantly lower GDP, too. The wonders of controlling definitions!
