Birds of a feather flock together. As I recall, good old ‘Dolph was also a big fan of reasonable, common-sense, gun safety initiatives.
Up in the 218 area code, Iron Rangers, during the boom years in the mining industry, refer to anyone not from the area who goes up there to work the mines during the good years as “packsackers.”
Packsackers are tolerated by the locals, but just barely. They are also expected to leave during the lean bust years. That never seems to be a problem, though, as most packsackers seem inexplicably eager to leave when the money goes away.
