Rule Of Man

Eric Holder’s greatest legacy – and perhaps Barack Obama’s, by the time we put this wretched era in the history books?

He was a staunch advocate of the rule of men, rather than laws.

Throughout Holder’s six years in office, Holder trampled the rule of lawand ruled by fiat, essentially making it up as he went along.  Look at the record:

  1. His politicization of the DOJ’s hiring practices was unprecedented
  2. Nadia Comenici in her prime couldn’t have done gymastics like the logical flips and turns Holder went through to avoid calling Major Nidal Hasan’s massacre at Fort Hood terrorism.
  3. If Richard Nixon had done the sort of dirty tricks against the media that Holder’s DOJ did, Woodward and Bernstein would have been really pissed.
  4. Even moreso for media openly critical of the “most transparent administration in history”.
  5. Get out of jail free cards for Democrat fugitives?  Of course!
  6. Even violent ones?  Don’t be silly.
  7. The First Amendent was just so passé.
  8. He used the DOJ as an Obama campaign tool
  9. He was an inveterate gun-grabber, first last and always.
  10. He worked tirelessly to give foreign terrorists captured in action the full protection of American criminal law.
  11. He dinked about with the right of states to enforce the very laws that the Feds had passed.
  12. Voter intimidation was bad – unless it intimidated Republicans
  13. Otherwise?  Holder did what he could to make voting easier and more convenient for the Democrats’ most important constituencies; Duplicate-Americans, Fictional-Americans and Deceased-Americans.
  14. Islam has never been violent, Winston.
  15. What’s arming a bunch of cartel thugs, if we can take a whack at law-abiding American gun owners

What does Holder’s future career hold?  Doesn’t matter; if it’s in the world of government “Justice”, Eric Holder will be working to strengthen government and weaken oversight, accountability and the lot of the individual.

  1. In light of all this, Juan William’s commentary on Holder is delightful in its disconnect with reality. Have you guys read it yet? In his mind, Holder’s use of the DOJ against George Zimmerman and the Ferguson PD is not overreach, but a long-desired resurrection of the civil rights division.

Never mind Zimmerman’s civil rights, of course.

  2. Glad to see him go. He was a piece o’ shyte from start to finish.
Heard a rumor that Klobuchar was on the list to replace him.
She probably wouldn’t be worse – but she’d be no better.
    Good times; good times…

  3. Eric Holder came from a generation that could not let go of bitterness and revenge. As if he saw himself an avenging angel, purging Billy Holiday’s “Strange Fruit.”

  4. Virtually everything that Blacks wanted before the 1960s has been granted to them. Because today’s Black leaders insist that Whites (or “America”) is responsible for everything bad that ever happened to them, there is nothing you can do that will make them happy.
I used to know some real racists. Bikers. These guys fantasized about lynching Blacks and “race traitors”. They would have joined the Klan if they didn’t believe that everyone in it is an FBI informer.
Whatever problems they had — no job, no education, no girlfriend — was the fault of Blacks and Jews.
That attitude, held by Blacks towards Whites and Jews, is not uncommon. Far more common than the white racism I have described.
It’s bad craziness and I want nothing to do with it.

  5. Mitch:

while you have a nice long list you forgot giving real criminals a legal pass (remember the black panthers) while at the same time make an effort to try to prosecute crimes for people who did exactly what the people who gave legal advice said was legal.

  6. It strikes me that Holder’s blowing off two Black Panthers voter intimidation cases, as well as his actions with regards to George Zimmerman and Ferguson, send about the same message as when a small town operates a speed trap. Specifically, this is our turf, you’re not welcome here, and when you’re here, we’ll feel free to take from you what we want.

And then Holder’s boss wonders why investment is fleeing the country. No rocket science, as many residents of towns which operate speed traps could tell you. Get $100 from a speeding ticket, lose a prospective employer who was there to scout the town out as a site for his business.
