Who said What?

President Obama, in his weekly address Saturday, said the country cannot “settle for a future of rising deficits and debts that our children cannot pay.”

…and the members of OPEC would like you to conserve fossil fuels. Oh and – hee hee – Jim Cramer has a stock tip for you. Uhhh, and Dan Rather has invited you to an “Ethics in Journalism” seminar. Oooo – Madonna and Alec Baldwin are co-authoring a book on parenting.

Meanwhile Brack O’Bomba is spending your Billions.

The audacity indeed.

Johnny, your conservatism is showing. You’re implicitly thinking that to cut the deficit he’ll cut spending.

Obama’s a liberal: he’ll pay for all this by raising taxes.

My personal bet is that he’ll do a carbon tax to fix his “deficit” problem. And there will go what little is left of American manufacturing.

    Yes. And, no.

I don’t think he meant a word of what he said in the sense that he plans on doing anything more than giving lip service and possibly his token $100 Million reduction in spending that he’s asked for.

I think the President is completely full of crap as it relates to fiscal responsibility.

This is a classic “Your Actions Speak So Loud Your Words I Cannot Hear” scenario.

  3. I believe that he’ll be more fiscally responsible than he has been until now, and that he’ll do that by raising taxes.

Still, Obama and the Demoncrats will make the Republicans of the first six years of Bush look like fiscal hawks.

Honestly, I believe that Obama is out to devalue the dollar through inflation and to tax the heck out of carbon “to save the world.” We are farked.

I’ve told the story that I never understood the European attitude towards work and vacation until I worked with one. He explained to me that he’d rather have vacation than a raise since the government doesn’t take 70% of his vacation. With Obama, we’ll be well on our way there.
