Not The Year of Franken?
By Mitch Berg
Al Franken announces.
Poll number bounces.
The poll shows Coleman getting 57 percent of the vote and Franken getting 35 percent.
The poll also looked at a possible matchup between Coleman and attorney Mike Ciresi, who is also expected to seek the DFL nomination. Coleman also wins that match by a margin of 57 to 34.
The margin of error on the poll is +/- 3.9 percent; 632 registered voters were polled on Feb. 12 and Feb. 13.
The signs? Coleman trounces…
…but the Strib? It renounces (any claim to objectivity; it will be in the bag for Franken, or whomever the DFL anoints. Look for a campaign dirty enough to make Alan Fine feel lucky).

Could be worse.
“Senator Piscopo.”

Could be worse.
“Senator Clinton.”

Clever, Kerm. A wingnut quipping on Hillary Clinton. How original!
Eagerly awaiting any bon mots you might have on that recent Chappaquiddick thing.

My dad worked at a nuclear power plant in California for 15 years. They had a saying in the industry: “More people have died at Chappaquiddick than have died in nuclear power plant accidents in the US”

You’ve posted that before, Bill C. You wingnuts need some new material.
Oh, right, I guess Karen Silkwood doesn’t count cause that wasn’t an accident.

Chappaquiddick? Ain’t that where them thar Arkansan carpetbaggers done moved? Don’t everyone move to New York to rent a Senate seat?
Karen Silkwood died in a car crash. Everyone knows Kerr MacGee ran her off the road.
Bastard.

People move to New York to make it big. People move to Minnesota cause you have such low standards you’ll elect wrestlers and SNL cast members.

People don’t move to Minnesota. Unless they lived in North Dakota, in which case they have an excuse. If you had the chance to judge the “wrestler’s” DFL and GOP rivals, you would have voted for him too.

Karen Silkwood died of a car accident, not a nuclear power plant accident.
There were suspicious circumstances surrounding her accident, but no foul play was ever proven.
But thanks for playing our game, AC. Better luck next time.

Rhoda and Lou Grant moved to Minnesota. They left pretty quickly, of course. Also Mary Ingalls, but she went blind.
