Our Loathsome Elites

Julie Boonstra, in the middle of being treated for Leukemia, had to go chasing after alternative health insurance.

Because of Obamacare.

The WaPo’s “fact check” column, “Politifact”, leaped into action and did what it’s paid to do; uphold the Democrat narrative:

Media organizations investigating the ad’s claims note that Boonstra was able to find comparable new insurance under the law.

Which I’m sure was big comfort, what with being in the middle of being treated for Leukemia and all.

But that whole “finding alternate care” bit?  Ummm…

Obama Repeatedly Promising You Can Keep Your… by ShockDoctrin

Even if I didn’t love my doctor, I’d suspect that right in the middle of freaking Leukemia treatment would be a time when having the Presidentnot lie to memight be a good thing.

But today’s Democrat party?  They know what matters.

The messengers; they must be lined up and shot:

And the campaign of Rep. Gary Peters is also going after television stations airing ads in which her story is featured, threatening their licenses.

The reason our country is so polarized is that half of the population supports rank evil.

  1. I would really love for someone to fact check the supposed business owners shilling for MNSure in the ads that Gov. DOH! is running. I find it comical that the lefties only identify people with full names when they are attacking conservatives.

  2. They only had to do three things:

Have the taxpayer nationally subsidize (socialize) the people that were getting killed by preexisting conditions.

Have the taxpayer nationally subsidize (socialize) the people that didn’t qualify for medicare, but were otherwise getting killed by insurance premiums.

No notice that if the taxpayer did it, it would be funded PROGRESSIVELY. Obamacare does it through premium increases and narrowing networks which is REGRESSIVE.

Totally free it up for the rest of us and get everyone to quit doing the prepaid medicine thing in exchange for real catastrophic insurance. What we have ben doing since WW2 can’t be done and Obamacare made it much worse.

P.S. There is an aggregate disaster in everything that combines actuarial science and politicians. Pensions, insurance, Social Security, The VA. Our deceptive and venal rulers compensate for this with lies, debt, easy money and statist force; therefore single payer or anything like it won’t work.

Get ready for the apocalypse: silver rounds, ammo, dehydrated food. We are doomed.

Have at me. Tell me where I’m wrong.

  3. We can’t be ruled forever with so much stupidity and stupid government force to compensate. Something has to give.

  4. Mitch:

Lets not forget a key complaint poor Julie makes when the Democrats claim it’s “Comparable” Her plan which is canceled allowed her to make a monthly payment (which included her expenses) that she could budget out for a course of the year the same dollar amount every month. Under the new plan she might wind up pay $12,100 over the course of the year instead of $13,200 (the number I had heard her say), but she might have to come up with like $6,000 in just the first three months instead of $3,300. It might be cheaper over the whole year, but it will destroy her fiancés for the first half of her fiscal year.

Oh I forgot Democrats don’t know or care about budget deficits.

  5. DFL, the party of compassion……………pfft!

“The reason our country is so polarized is that half of the population supports rank evil.”

“Doom on you” to all of them! (in the Vietnamese metaphor)

  6. When you hear about these big deductibles, recall that one of the “crises” that Obama care was supposed to address was consumer bankruptcy due to medical expenses.
Old argument: “The consumer has a $6,000 deductible! This is a crappy plan that will force him or her into bankruptcy!”
New argument “The consumer has only a $6,000 deductible! Thank God for Obamacare!”
The Current push-back on Boonstra is that Obamacare is no worse than her previous plan, which is to say it has failed. How many people would be comfortable with a plan chosen for them by WaPo medical and financial professionals Kessler and Sargent? Show of hands?

  7. PM; Apparently, the same Seattle law firm that is defending Obumbler against the birthers, has threatened a law suit against Americans For Prosperity on behalf of left wing rep Gary Peters election committee. The threat asks AFP for proof of their claims, citing the WaPo’s “fact checking” as their basis.

  8. TFS: I disagree with part of your last comment. They are not stupid and they are not phony. They are actively lying and doing anything they can get away with (which, given the political ignorance and cowardice of this country, is a LOT), to bring our country down.
