“Obama and Boehner both came to the same conclusion—that they would allow the shutdown to persist for two weeks, until it became politically possible to reopen government and address the threat of default at the same time.” From this article in the Strib.
If that’s an accurate statement, then Boehner must be removed as Speaker today.

One thing that I’m confused by is the premium costs I hear being tossed about by callers to various nationwide talk shows. The amounts being mentioned for for single and family coverages seem remarkably low, even after Obamacare hits them.
Are Minnesota’s rates that far out of step with the rest of the country? Did RINO Ramstad and Kennedy’s push for mandated mental health and chem dep a few years back only hit us? Sorry for my ignorance on the topic. I dread to imagine what my rates will jump to if the proportions and percentage hikes kick in.
