A Note

By Mitch Berg

Just Remember:

Given that this actually is Obama’s supporters best line (literally – “Bush did it first, so don’t be teh hypocret” is the gyst of not a few lefties’ responses to criticsm), it’s hard to even call it “satire”.

Call it “Journalism”.

Why did he think he was ready to be president? Why did anyone?

Lets remember Obama’s defense is also I made sure I heard the truth and that is why I have to do it. George never wanted to care about facts because he was invading Iraq for oil to give money to his oil buddies. Syria doesn’t have oil!

Many people would be gratified if W joined with O and explicitly supported a punitive strike on Syria for gassing its own people.
I, on the other hand, would be terrified.

The Syrian war will likely end before this Congress can make a decision.

  5. Yossarian Says:

Incompetence and unicorn dreams regarding how the world SHOULD work kinda crumbles into ultra-fine dust particles after a few years of learning how the world actually DOES, ALWAYS HAS, and ALWAYS WILL work.

Okay, Obama is still incompetent, but at least his unicorn dreams seem to be resetting themselves into reality, albeit too little, too late.

  6. Emery Says:

Senator Paul and the constitutionalists appear to be pleased with Obama’s decision to involve Congress.

  7. Yossarian Says:

Given Obama’s incoherent incompetence, that’s hardly surprising.

  8. Joe Says:

If I were Obama, I would be hoping for an honorable way out of my “line in the sand” stance. If Congress keeps him from doing something he didn’t think he’d have to follow through with in the first place, he can keep all the glory of his intentions without having to back them up the hard way; keeping all the symbolism without any of the substance …

  9. Emery Says:

Red lines ain’t what they used to be. The bad decisions of past presidents make Obama’s move appealing to libertarians in Congress who are wary of America’s role as global hegemon .

I think Barry should just break out the Presidential knee pads again. Everyone loved that; Assad would love it too.

Once again I am grateful Sen. John McVain lost his election. I like that PBO has gone to Congress on this. Watching Lurch call his former dinner date Hitler and Nancy Pelosi who called Hezbollah’s benefactor a reformer now call for air strikes is more than a little ironic.

Sunnis killing Alawites or vise versa is not our concern whether they do it with machetes or chemical weapons.
