Joe And Jane the Plumber…

…have apparently gotten together and tubed same-sex marriage in California:

A measure to once again ban gay marriage in California led Tuesday, throwing into doubt the unions of an estimated 18,000 same-sex couples who wed during the last 4 1/2 months.

The Democrats won the election – but even in California, most Americans are conservatives, even if they don’t always vote (or know) it.

  1. And the most interesting thing is that high African American and Latino turnout for Obama may have put it over the top. Elections are won at the margins and by coalitions of people who agree on at least one thing, but not on everything.

  2. But Obama’s federal judges will impose this on the country.

Margaret, it’s been said that a Mass. judge (or was it 3 judges?) “elected” Bush in 2004. When the judge(s) overuled the people to impose same-sex marriage on Mass., then the ballot measures came out in other states for the November 2004 election, bringing thousands of conservatives to the polls in the states with these measures.

  3. I just don’t understand how conservative America elected a socialist so decisively. He told us flat out that he was going to redistribute income tax rates. He told us exactly how he was going to impose a federal health insurance mandate. His entire campaign was premised on the idea of surrendering in Iraq.

How could conservative America have voted for an extreme leftist who promised to do all those pinko things?! If only Mavrick had let Palin be Palin and tell the truth about Chairman Obama.

America would have known what it was voting for.

  4. Yep, Bush certainly owes his presidency to judges, Chuckwagon. Obama went the way of getting more people to vote for him.

  5. That’s gotta be a tough one for you, AssClown….well, you and your dad may not be able to tie the know, but you’re free to continue playing house.

So shut your ignorant trap, get back in the kitchen, b*tch, and fix him some eggs.

  6. I see the whole black guy in a higher position than you has turned you very angry and frustrated, Swiftee. Kinda like when they promoted that guy Carl to head janitor down at the shit factory.

  7. HAHA!

    You poor ignorant slob.

Conservatives don’t judge people by skin color, AssClown; that’s strictly a Democrap joint.

I’m upset because there are enough profoundly stupid people in this country to have elected a terrorist hugging, socialist loving, America hating asshat to a position of power…he could be green for all I care.

This is what happens when we let Democraps take control of the public skrools. Which BTW is the topic of the next spittle-flecked, anti-liberal screed I plan on posting.

Now get back in the kitchen, b*tch.

  8. Margaret is right; Obama probably tubed SSM in CA. There’s at least some reason to believe that it was those new black and hispanic voters that put Prop 8 over the top.

Not that I expect he’ll try to take credit for it. Obama wanted to have it both ways: be opposed to SSM, and opposed to the initiative to prohibit SSM. (I think there can be a legitimate way to get to that obviously awkward position, but he didn’t try to express one.)

I think that’s unfortunate, by the way. I was very uncomfortable with the way that SSM was established by, basically, a court deciding that it was good policy, but thought that a defeat of Prop 8 would have (retroactively, granted) put the public’s imprimatur on a good policy.

  9. Oh Swiftee, Angryclown is so sorry you’re “upset”! Here, dry your little eyes on this tissue. Oh wait, that’s used toilet paper. Sorry!

  10. I don’t use toilet paper, AC; it ain’t green. I prefer to use the nearest moonbat to wipe with. When they get too slimey, I just “beat the crap” out of ’em and they’re ready for another dozen wipings.

    See? I recycle.

    Hahahahaaaa!

  11. How can conservative Americans elect a socialist for a President? We were told by Obama that he would redistribute the wealth and also how he was going to impose a federal health insurance mandate and yet they still vote for this liberal, illuminati socialist to such a powerful position. Their happiness is going to be short-lived when all of Obama’s promises to them can’t be kept. When these idiots’ pockets are going to be picked clean, maybe then they’ll wake up!

  12. What upsets me about the black community is that when you mention not voting for Obama because of the taxes he’ll impose and his gay rights agenda among others, right away they cry racism. They don’t see the issues, only that he’s black and that’s how they vote–color. They’re like the rest of the liberal, illuminati left-wings who vote for their own benefit. How selfish and stupid all of them are!

  13. Speaking of not knowing crap Mitch – I mean beyond the.. “Sarah Palin was exactly the right pick” meme you trowelled out…

    From NBC online:

Fox News Channel reporter Carl Cameron reported that within the McCain camp, there were serious doubts about her knowledge of civics and current events. “She didn’t know the nations involved in the North American Free Trade Agreement. … She didn’t understand, McCain aides told me … that Africa was a continent and not a country.”

Newsweek’s “Special Election Project” reported other accusations being lobbed by campaign staffers, including new claims about Palin’s wardrobe expenditures.

Calling her shopping spree “more extensive than previously reported,” one aide told Newsweek it was like “”Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast.”

Staffers also accuse her of spending “tens of thousands more than the reported $150,000,” and asking low-level staffers to put purchases on their credit cards.

Newsweek also reported that during the Republican National Convention, McCain staffers Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter were greeted by a towel-wearing Palin when they arrived at her hotel room for a briefing.

“I’ll be just a minute,” she said, and asked them to chat with her husband in the meantime.

Sources also say that Schmidt, a strategist, was the one to veto Palin’s request to speak Tuesday night during McCain’s concession speech.

Meg Stapleton, Palin’s spokeswoman, responded to the reports, saying, “This is so unfortunate and, quite honestly, sickening. The accusations we are hearing and reading are not true and since we deny all these anonymous allegations, there is nothing specific to which we will respond.”

Now, I’m not so sure about calling Californian’s conservative, as frankly, not desiring same sex marraige can hardly be claimed as owned by the right (that would be yet another thing you’re incorrect on Mitch), but I’m thinkin’ at least most Calyfornyans know that Africa isn’t a country….

and you wanted that dunderhead as VP.. I respected McCain, and while I wasn’t going to vote for him, I could never have voted for him with the risk that albatross might have wound up President. We already tried the incurious dim-wit Governor idea for 8 years, you said you learned your lessons, but, as Ronnie Reagan once said, “There you go (went) again.”

  14. Peev,

    You’re off-topic.

And you’re confusing “leaks from angry Mac staffers to sympathetic media” with “consensus” and “fact”.

    Again.

Like the rest of the talking-lemming-head alt-media that you have become a lumpen part of.
