They Warned Us…

…that if we gave carry permits to civilians, and allowed people outside law enforcement to carry firearms, there’d be people pointing guns at each other over trivial things.

As much as I hate being under an electronic eye, I gotta admit security and cell phone cameras have their upside.
You know that if this hadn’t been taped, that copper would have gone back and filed a report which would have resulted in those kids arrest on charges he concocted on his way in. They would have been advised to plead guilty to avoid jail, then lived their lives with a criminal record.
Just because that scumbag copper was having a bad day.

24 years experience, if the only punishment is losing his job as a peace officer he will still get his retirement check.
He should be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Broken link NW.
I noted earlier the disturbing appearance of cops wearing Army fatigues and balaclavas, riding down the street in armored personnel carriers which mounted .20 cal machine guns.
And need I mention the sight of people being “escorted” out of their houses and held under guard while a paramilitary team conducted a search?
Dress rehersal.

Swiftee makes a nice point about CCTV. It’s a very cost effective means of surveillance. This might be the tipping point where we will see a significant increase in the use of CCTV and other imaging technology. From an ROI perspective, it offers great value with a reasonable price point. More “bang” for the buck if you will.
