Disrespectful is the title…

…too much? “They” say this stuff works.

I don’t think it’s necessarily “too much.” Heck, it’s one of the most restrained ads they’ve put out in weeks.

However, I also don’t think it’s effective. I don’t know what they’re trying to get at here. It just seems weak to me.

I don’t think it’s strong, either. The real issue isn’t whether or not the were disrespectful when they called her a liar, but whether or not they were accurate in calling her a liar. (They weren’t.) It’s not disrespectful, for example, to say that Obama’s been less than candid in discussing his Bill Ayers connection because, well, he has.

That said, I think it’s been a real, real good week or so for the McCain/Sarahcuda ticket, and they’ve got to avoid the obamatation to start believing in their own invincibility.

What if it turns out that Palin has to admit that she didn’t actually visit Iraq?

Does being in Kuwait and getting really close to the border with Iraq count?

There are different purposes of ads, just like commercials. I don’t know if it will change anyone’s mind but it will certainly will firm up the support he has. It will get those people out talking to their friends about how unfairly Obama’s been treating Mrs. Palin.

She never said she visited Iraq, an “unnamed” assistant did.
