…allow me to submit the following piece about an ad campaign for…
…Wrangler jeans.
Money quote:
This is a despicable campaign. It fetishizes murder and violence against women. To sell blue jeans. The people making the ads should be ashamed, though Copyranter doubts they are.
That’s right; Jeff Fecke is right about something.
What an incredibly creepy ad campaign.
To bring the universe back into alignment; I suspect he’s dismally wrong about American Carol. But I’ll let you know when I come back from the premiere.
More later.

Are you sure these are meant to be corpses? I got the the tagline as “we are animals” to mean that these were people supposed to be acting like snakes or alligators sitting in or coming out of the water. This is a TV ad campaign too, right? So there would be some kind of action going on that you don’t see in a still photo. Bad ad campaign to be sure but not so horribly bad as putting dead people in the clothes you are trying to sell.
OTOH, FRANCE.
I walked through that thought in my mind, too, Margaret. But the skin tone and the “decomposed” look – that’s one sick-looking ‘gator.
Sheesh, I’m glad I wear Lee Riders!
Why Margaret, what part of the head under water makes you think that those people are meant to be alive?
You’d think you’d be up on the Dead Chick Friday meme, given your complicity with Hot Chick Friday.
Get out of the garden, dear. But be sure you have some nice clothing that makes your ass look good. Tracy will appreciate it.
