While The DFL Is Busy Defending ID-Free Voting…

…the GOP is focused on jobs.

The “MNGOP’s “Reform 2.0” agenda moved forward yesterday with the passage of the “Tax Relief And Job Creation Act”, which passed in the House.

I wish every working Minnesotan could see this bit from yesterday – Rep. Matt Dean tearing chunks out of Ann Lenczewski, who’d just finished demigogueing against the bill:

Pass it around.

This is going to come up in the Senate soon. And while it’s not as sexy and sound-biteable as the Marriage Amendment or Voter ID, it’s much more important for Minnesota’s long-term future, especially for the parts of Minnesota that actually work.

We’ll keep you posted.

  1. Ann Lenczewski is an elitist idiot! She doesn’t exactly live in the poorest section of Bloomington, so she has no room to throw those types of barbs out.

  2. Wow, sounds to me like the people in Matt Dean’s district are failures. Which could then explain how Matt Dean got elected. And until now, I foolishly thought the most idiotic Dean was Bradlee!

  3. I keep hoping a smart lib who’s a good debater will happen by the site.

    All we get is Ears.

  4. Actually, EARS did get one thing right…”I foolishly”. Should have cut it short right there.

  5. Let’s gauge things by their level of failure.
Matt Dean — State rep., architect, Married to an obstetrician. Fail measure very low.
Dean’s constituents — citizens of Stillwater, White Bear Lake, and Marine on St. Croix, Mahtomedi, Hugo. Fail measure very low.
Bradlee Deen — Has a youth ministry and a radio show. Estimated annual ministry budget $670k. Fail measure very low.

Earsall Mackbee — Posts anonymous snark on a blog. Fail level?

  6. Fixed:

“Earsall Mackbee — Posts labored, leaden, lumpen, un-clever, recycled anonymous snark on a blog”. Happy to help.

Oh, and ” Fail level?” Given the way Ears writes, I suspect not much was ever expected of him to begin with.

  7. Mitch: I’ll add to the list. Morose, malevolent, pedantic, vapid, vacuous, void and hemorrhoidal. There are others, but maybe Ears looking them up will keep him occupied for six weeks. You’re welcome.

  8. SlimePost noted yesterday that Michelle Bachmann is being challenged by yet another left wingnut, supposed “businessman”, one Brian McGoldrick. Supposedly involved in real estate and owns a marina on White Bear Lake. His quote as to why he’s running? “Michelle Bachmann is more focused on getting elected president than she is on creating jobs”. I’m not familiar with the marina(s) on WBL, so can’t confirm or deny that he is a legit owner of one. It would be interesting to see if his car is registered in MN or WI.

On another note, there seems to be quite a battle out in Plymouth with 2 new left wingers declaring themselves candidates. They debated last week to a full city council chamber. One of them. Sharon Sund, is the daughter of a union goon.

Back before I started being a regular commenter on this blog I was a regular at Anti-Strib, we had a few good lefties who could throw down better than any of the droogs on this site. Anyone remember their screennames? I genuinely miss throwing down with a lefty who could debate using facts (as opposed to “chanting points” and links to far-left bloggers and blogs) and while their worldview was pretty screwed up it didn’t degenerate into name calling… right away at least.

It’s great if you can find one. I have two people who comment fairly regularly on by blog from the port side. It’s a nice thing to have.
