DISENFRANCHISEMENT!
By Mitch Berg
From the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department page on “Turning Yourself In“, if you have an outstanding warraint:
Individuals with an active arrest warrant can turn themselves in 24 hours a day, seven days a week at the Adult Detention Center (425 Grove Street, Saint Paul, Minnesota).
Individuals turning themselves in are encouraged to provide the Sheriff’s Office with as much information as possible related to why they are wanted.
When turning yourself in, please bring the following items:
- Valid state or federal issued photo identification, such as a driver’s license
- Current prescription medications in original sealed and labeled packaging
- Clothing appropriate for the season
- Cash for bail (if appropriate)
- Necessary personal assistive aids, such as glasses, hearing aids, or orthopedic devices
Has anyone told Mark Ritchie?

Jonah Goldberg has a good column on this: http://www.thedaily.com/page/2012/03/18/031812-opinions-oped-id-goldberg-1-2/
He makes the amusing point that of all the things you can’t do w/o photo ID — drive a car, get on an airplane, get social security, enroll your kids in school, etc and on and on, the one thing the Democrats insist the un-ID’d American be allowed to do is also the one thing that helps them the least – vote.
Did Wasserman-Schultz really say that republicans “want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws”? That is so stupid on so many levels, including mangled usage, it sounds like Biden must have said it.

You can’t make it up.
I was listening to Medved one day and the guest was a “professional arguer” (advocate or what ever) on this subject. It was a mind numbing, Orwellian, fog.
The state has the resources to get everyone an ID months in advance. It’s as simple as that.

“Has anyone told Mark Ritchie?” I don’t expect Mark to turn himself in anytime soon.
