Instances of self-defense are the anecdotes that gun controllers never want to hear. The NRA keeps a running list of them on its website: attempted armed robberies, home invasions, and other attacks rebuffed every month by the would-be victims. Surely, Sarah McKinley’s assailants thought the young, slender, widowed mother was an easy mark. Her shotgun meant they were wrong. Who would have it any other way? Otherwise, the intruder has the knife and she has nothing except a cellphone and the wan hope that someone armed with a gun makes it to her in time.
It should be considered the moral duty of every law-abiding American to be able to do the same.

Sometimes who have a fact so nasty (for the other side), that your opponents need to surpress it.
-Pro Choice folks don’t want the racial make-ups of aborted babies to be known. I got perminantly kicked off the Star-Tribune discussion board for bringing some stats up about that.
-Or back in 2008 (and since then)….Barry Obama was raised by his lilly-white bank president grandmother on the beaches of Hawaii. That his darker skin color is due to his mother having sex with a visitor from Kenya. That didn’t fit the image of the “first black president”. They wanted people to think that he was descended from slaves and was born into a society that still had segregation and inequality.
