Great show this week. Someone mentioned a Rick Perry/Michelle Bachmann ticket for 2012. This sounds interesting on many levels.

As for the rest of the field:

Romney – There’s YouTube video somewhere out there of him saying he was to the “left” of Teddy Kennedy on gun control. Oh ya, RomneyCare.

Gingrich – jumped the shark years ago. Sit down, Newt, you’re into your 16th minute of fame now.

Palin – not running. I agree with Mitch: she’s running for King Maker. She’s brilliant. She’s figured out a way to get her fans to pay for her family’s Summer vacation. Pure genius.

Santorum – nice guy but big government conservative. Personality of a driving instructor.

Herman Cain – I’m a big fan since hearing him on the radio. He’s winging it. Shoots from the lip too often. Not doing his homework.

Ron Paul – have you ever seen him and Denis Kucinich in the same room together?

Huntsman, Johnson, Romer – they went to a hockey game and a presidential campaign broke out.

Pawlenty – has broad appeal that will get broader as people get to know him. I think he will be the last man standing after the Palin Circus Tour, the MSM smear campaigns, the anti-Mormon bigotry, the vicious attacks on kids of GOP candidates’, etc.

Michelle Bachmann – From what I’ve seen of her I think she’s great. Mitch, Ed, John over at Powerline all have good things to say about her. I would be perfectly happy to see her get the nomination. I think Ed Rollins is running her as the anti-palin. A strong conservative woman who’s not a flake. This could be a winning strategy.

At this point, I would for a ham sandwich if I thought it could beat Obama. America will not survive 8 years of our first Marxist president.

Early prediction: Pawlenty/Bachmann 2012. Minnesota common sense? You betcha!

  3. Mitch Berg Says:

Dunno. I think Perry/Bachmann or Perry/Pawlenty makes a lot of sense; big-time successful conservative, plus have a shot at flipping 10 blue EVs.

  4. NickDeringer Says:

T-Paw hit Romney with the “ObamneyCare” jab. Absolutely brilliant. I’m starting to get a tingle up my leg.

  5. Speed Gibson Says:

It was a slow news week other that Weiner-gate but I still thinks its a bit early to spend this much time on 2012 Prez election.

  6. K-Rod Says:

Kerm, can’t have POTUS and VP from the same state.

    Pawlenty/Cain 2012

  7. Kermit Says:

I did not know that, K-Rod. Perry/Pawlenty would work for me. I’m sick of Democrats putting old, white men in the Executive (Slow Joe Biden). We need people actually familiar with the 21st century, not crypto-Marxists who think Saul Alinsky and Noam Chomsky were brilliant.
