Monkey Do

By Mitch Berg

Two years ago, the Democrats in Washington used their eroding majority to jam Obamacare down over the American peoples’ objections.

The DFL in Minnesota has learned their lesson; notwithstanding that a crushing majority of Minnesotans support reforming our election system to proof it against abuse, the DFL is wheeling out its big guns most annoying Representatives and most specious memes to try to oppose Mary Kiffmeyer’s HF210.

Here’s Minnesota Majority’s video on the subject:

It’s in the DFL’s interest to oppose it, of course; a fraudulent and dishonest vote is pretty much invariably a DFL vote.

Voter ID laws are opposed by Democrats because it suppresses ‘their’ voters, people who either don’t want or can’t get a valid ID. Most of the Lefty’s I’ve heard or read on this subject admit to it (shocking that they would accuse people who in theory think like them of being too lazy or too infirmed or just plain not eligible to vote due to the fact that they aren’t citizens). We don’t seem to have any issue with requiring ID for all kinds of things, from proof of citizenship for employment to proving you are who you say you are to collect benefits from whichever local/state/federal agency one can collect benefits from. Maybe we should offer to pay for the tin foil helmets many of ‘their’ voters will require to go outside and acquire an ID?

I see the DFL is sometimes pretending to be interested in election integrity, and sometimes pretending that every vote is precious to them, all while calling this a “distraction” or “non-starter”.

    it suppresses ‘their’ voters
And limits the number of times they can vote.

    Cats, dogs, gerbils, dead people…

During a traffic stop you are required by law to show a driver’s license. If you do not, you can be hauled to precinct and thrown in jail. Yet, demoncRATs believe that the most sacred of our rights, voting, does not require scrutiny. You can fool some people…

Yes, and what would Doggy do if she had to prove citizenship to vote for one of her commie friends?

  6. Dave Thul Says:

Watching the video, I can see one other group that will be firmly opposed to Voter ID–the United States Post Office! Half a million post cards every election cycle? That is some easy money.

    CASE CLOSED!!

  8. Kermit Says:

Scott, that was Selflores, and I agree with him 100%. Or 120% in DFL math.

  9. Scott Hughes Says:

    Thanks, hat tip to Selflores.

It amazes me that there are those that proclaim how precious a vote is but don’t want to allow a most simple method of protecting its’ integrity. Their real motives are not in doubt. I have words for those vermin; unfortunately the only ones that come to mind are profane.

I just read Dave Thul’s post on True North:

Excellent post, Dave. Since DG takes it as a personal insult every time Mitch mentions the debacle that occurred in Crow Wing County, and fires off a peeve-length post or two, she should put her money where her mouth is and encourage her Knight in Shining Diebold Armor to take Dave’s challenge to put his money where his mouth is.

But that won’t happen, for exactly the reason Seflores outlines: It suppresses their voters.
