Things I Dream About

Part of me hopes that a kid in Saint Paul tries to ride his or her bike to school…

…and duly gets told by his or her teacher, principal or school board not to bring flags to school at risk of alienating the school’s America-Hating-American population…

…so we can see something like this:

…and then see Ann Carroll, John Brodrick and Ellona Street-Stewart’s heads explode.

Figuratively.

A guy can dream.

  1. The clip isn’t showing up, but I think that I saw it!

    It’s absolutely heart warming to see a 13 year old patriot that has obviously been raised well. It’s also cool that bikers escorted him to school, with American flags flying proudly from their bikes. Obviously, the superintendent, Ed Parraz (hmmmm. Sounds hispanic. Perhaps an anchor baby? Nah.) came to his senses before he got a smack down.

    On another note, there is nothing more patriotic than a three mile line of American made iron, in the form of Harley Davidsons, cruising down the highway!

  2. I can tell you precisely how the Strib would report it:

    “In a scene reminiscent of Brownshirt rallies in Nazi Germany, ultra-right-wing activists staged a demonstration intended to intimidate minorities and silence their political opponents today…”

  3. Somehow it seems that we ought to be flying the Gadsden flag when we do this kind of thing as well……I’m thinking a parade of people through the airport roads all flying a modified Gadsden flag with “Don’t Grope on Me”…….

  4. mnbubba;

    Although I’ve never been a Corvette lover, you are absolutely correct.

    Master;

    Yup! I saw that report, too. Equally awesome!

  5. The folks from Westboro Baptist need to learn that even if they can justify their outrageous behavior with scripture, they do much more harm to their cause than they do good.
    I have a passage for them: “By their fruits shall you know them”.

    And I salute the Patriot Riders.

  6. Sounds like they want to now focus on the kids who stirred up this trouble… maybe something will come out of this, maybe not.

  7. “By their fruits shall you know them.”

    Of course, the fruits of public education are so sanitized and disinfected by political correctness that the field becomes barren. Bless the Patriot Riders for giving voice to a larger purpose than the vacant and empty voices echoing through the halls of public education.

  8. I am old enough to remember pre-internet, pre-Rush, pre-FNC, pre-SITD, etc.

    If some thing like this would have happened 25 years ago (the student told to remove his American flag as the Mexicans in his school don’t like it), it would have gone unreported.

  9. Actually, Chuck, 40-some years ago when I was in high school, no one would’ve said a thing about the displaying the flag because it was a good thing.

  10. When I was a kid it was a proud experience to raise the flag and say the Pledge of Allegiance. It was a daily school activity throughout most of my school days. It saddens me to see that the ding-bats and morons are attempting to end these patriotic traditions. Not allow a kid to ride his bicycle to school displaying OUR FLAG? Today it seems that there is a move afoot to teach globalism in denial of our own sovereignty, our history, and our heritage. DOOM TO ALL OF THEM!!!!!!

    During the summer they have an annual “Patriot Ride” in honor of our military men and women. The 6th annual event is scheduled for June 8, 2011. Go here for a link – http://thepatriotride.org/

    You can ride in the event; there’ll be Hogs (as well as all other make of bike), vintage autos, muscle cars, and all sorts of chase vehicles. If you can’t ride in the procession you can always take up a chair on the event route and just enjoy the sights and sounds. You literally can hear the “thunder” for miles as the 2K to 3K of bikes approach and pass by. THERE’LL BE THOUSANDS OF AMERICAN FLAGS ON DISPLAY!
