Could This Be The Day?

I’m of Scandinavian descent.

I’m not naturally wired for optimism.

But down in my gut, this feels like it could be Chip Cravaack’s year.

Maybe it’s the fact that Oberstar’s got so many friends in high places, and yet so few in his district.

Maybe it’s that poll from two weeks ago.

I dunno.

I’m just feeling good about this race.

  1. There is absolutely no substitute for class and common sense. Chip Cravaack has that!

    You know what puzzles me though; he grew up in West Virginia, a state whose economy that is based on the mining industry. Even if his family didn’t work in the mines, he surely has friends that did. He should be talking about how Cap & Tax will affect mining in MN.

  2. Are you the one who originally reported that Oberstar has received ONE and only ONE individual contribution from his home district. No, I don’t mean his home in Maryland, I mean the 8th district where his ancestors lived.

    In office for……I think 36 years. Hasn’t lived in his district for 25 (or so) years. Has no finacial contributers there except for the casino cartells.

  3. Chuck;

    “In office for……I think 36 years. Hasn’t lived in his district for 25 (or so) years. Has no finacial contributers there except for the casino cartells.”

    That is also an excellent point for Chip to hammer home.

  4. 3 donors in his district total: Oberstar’s other in-district donations were $1,000 from Allete PAC in Duluth and $300 from the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe in Cass Lake.

    EVERYTHING else has come from out of his district and out of state. And I wouldn’t be one but surprised if some was from out of the country also.
