Modern Mores

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

In the olden days, a king who seized power wrongfully was a “usurper” and knowing that everyone hated him for stealing the throne, the usurper would generally kill as many of his enemies as he could, as quickly as he could, to cement his grip on power. Those he couldn’t kill directly, he’d threaten to intimidate.

My, how times have changed

Joe Doakes

Democrats learned a lot from those kings. And, for that matter, peasants.

Once again, I ask the question “what are they afraid of?” If it was the “most secure election ever”, why don’t they cooperate, i.e. sharing the data and giving the passwords? Fortunately, it sounds like more whistleblowers are coming forward, including one the has the master password to all of the Dominion machines and a judge in Michigan has ruled that the alleged “human error” causing flipped votes, were actually the system software, that was designed to do it.

Nothing promotes more confidence in the voting system than using discouraging audits!
Biden’s JD opposes election challenges that have the effect of removing fraudulent ballots from black precincts on civil rights grounds.
This is ridiculous, of course, and defies logic, but we haven’t had constitutional rights since the lockdowns began.

If I had a nickel for every Woolly said something about the politically inspired audits I could buy an island, start my own country, write a constitution for it, and make being this dumb a felony.

If you don’t believe your vote matters and think the system is rigged, you’re less likely to vote. Republican election conspiracy theories, like so many conspiracy theories, disempower those who believe them. You can’t act to change the world if you don’t understand how it works.

You are wrong Mitch – libturds learned nothing from peasants. Peasants are only fodder, a malleable, gullible, mindless mass to be exploited and then destroyed as needed. Nay, they have nothing to learn from peasants, never had, never will. Not one solitary thing – because libturds are omnipotent.

It seems that these days, voters don’t pick the winners in elections, unelected lawyers in the DOJ pick the winners in elections.
Conservative state & local governments are the last hold outs against the nut bag liberals, and they are under siege.
If the nut bags succeed, look for your locally elected LE officials, governors, mayors, and state legsilators to have a JD “adviser” appointed to guide their votes and policy making.
And when I say “nut bag,” I mean just that. They think that men can have a womb and deliver children, and that you are not born male or female, but have your sex “assigned” to you at birth by a human being.
You can’t get much crazier than that.

There are 898,768,978 mostly poor people of color in India and every single solitary one of them has an official photo ID that they present at the polls on election day.

And here, there are those who claim that poor people of color are not capable of obtaining an ID.

So what is their motive in making this claim: racism or fraud?

@Woolly: Election fraud is a talking point. It’s simply the thing to say because the truth, for now, is considered impolite. The right wing is simply unhappy about elections that it loses. That’s it. A fraudulent election is one which a Democrat won.

Voter fraud didn’t increase in 2020. Voter turnout did. That’s what scares the right wing.

Tell us again about Trump, Putin, and the stolen election of 2016, Emery.
I have no opinion about whether or not the 2020 election was stolen from Trump.
You do, although you seem frighten to have the ballots audited, and have a proven track record of being wrong about important elections in the past.
You also seem to be obsessed with the idea that the prople you oppose political are disease spreaders.

I read keyboard warrior Twat’s screaming, wailing and whining about Obama’s outdoor party of about 600 where everyone was required to be vaccinated, but not a peep about 800,000 motorcycle enthusiasts congregating in Sturgis with likely fewer than half are vaccinated.

Speaking of stupid, Emery. You lefties didn’t accept the results of two elections now. Al Gore realized it was hopeless, AFTER he had his day in court. He then went on to start his gloBULL warming scam.

Then, 2016. Ah! The Big Hurt on the woman who declared that “Democrat voters are stupid and subject to manipulation,” was such a horse shit candidate, that she lost. In fact, she got buried by an avalanche. She was so butt hurt that she didn’t even have the guts (or brain) to concede. She sent out her perverted henchman Podesta to do it for her. Then, they concocted the first scam that they knew mentally challenged dimwits like you would swallow hook, line and sinker; the Russian collusion scam. They even had weasels like Adam Schitty Schiff state on numerous occasions, that “there was irrefutable evidence”, yet never produced it. But, once again, basement dweller, keep your head up your ass.

The blunt smoking degenerates that attended Barry’s tent party are super-spreaders, but hey….free weed!

The CDC updated its guidelines on Tuesday to recommend masks indoors, even for vaccinated people. The Delta variant makes it easier for vaccinated people to transmit the virus, the CDC said.

With any luck, the ignorant twats that got juiced will expire quietly, and not infect too many decent people.

  21. Mammuthus Primigenesis Avatar

Like last year, a few weeks will go by with no evidence of Sturgis being a super spreader event, and no one will remember how wrong they were.
Because that is what happened last year.
That is what is called “science.”

This is summer. People are traveling in their tens and hundreds of thousands all over the country.
But the media (and Emery) are triggered into spouting nonsense and hatred by South Dakota and maybe unvaccinated bikers, who are maybe MAGA people, definitely not BLM.

there is such an array of relevant modifiers to use when addressing Emery’s deficiencies that it is often tempting to string them all together just for the satisfaction.

    To wit:
airheaded, birdbrained, bonehead, boneheaded, brain-dead, brainless, bubbleheaded, chuckleheaded, dense, dim, doltish, dopey (also dopy), dorky [slang], dull, dumb, dunderheaded, empty-headed, fatuous, gormless [chiefly British], half-witted, knuckleheaded, lamebrain (or lamebrained), lunkheaded, mindless, oafish, obtuse, opaque, pinheaded, senseless, simple, slow, slow-witted, soft, softheaded, stupid, thick, thick-witted, thickheaded, unintelligent, unsmart, vacuous, weak-minded, witless

But out of a desire for brevity today I will settle upon fatuous, as; Emery’s fatuous false comparison of 600 vs 800k is rooted in the notion that the 600 are not just morally superior to the rest of us but as nomenklatura they posses physical attributes that immunize them to all criticism.

One of the oddities of the “current narrative” from the CDC is that if they are right now, they were wrong back in may when they said the vaccinated didn’t have to wear masks or social distance.
The CDC morons say that, “well, the science has changed” but this doesn’t let them out of their box because it calls into doubt their current declarations about covid. They seem to be admitting that whatever they are doing it isn’t science, because it is not progressing. Just because we have more of what they claim is data, the recommendations they give policy makers and citizens aren’t becoming more accurate over time.
Maybe next week we’ll be back to spraying lysol over everything. You might want to buy the hand sanitizer that is now being sold at deep discount, because the CDC was wrong about transmission via surface media.

It is banal to assert that the more certain a person is, the less they actually know.
The opposite is also common observation, in science as well as in life. The more a person knows about a topic, the less likely they are to lay claim to certainties, because they understand that there knowledge is not complete.
Nearly everything Fauci and other epidemiologists say is couched in uncertainty — “may,” “possibly,” “the data indicates.”
Ideologues and politicians remove the qualifications in these statements to make them absolutes, because with absolutes there can be no discussion, there can be no compromise position, there can be no cost-benefit analysis, the only rational response can be obedience.

Hence Emery’s continued belief in the “Trump colluded with Putin to steal the 2016election” conspiracy theory.
Reason tells him that the origin of the conspiracy theory is actually Hillary’s oppo-research operation colluding with Russian intelligence to produce the “Steele Dossier.” He knows that this is true, but because his belief in the conspiracy theory is irrational, he cannot reason his way to the truth.

It is the nature of science to change when better information becomes available.
This is twaddle. It is wrong.
Science doesn’t change, it improves. Einstein’s relativity improves the predictions of newtonian mechanics. Kepler improved predictions of planetary motion over Copernicus’ ideas about the shape of planetary orbits.
Science is about observation of the natural world.
How much improvement have you seen in the CDC’s ability to issue recommendations? Hard to say, since they are inconsistent and their method of determining the recommendations is not public.
Emery has scientific knowledge with gnostic knowledge.
