This is what’s been bothering me.
We’re heading toward an election that might be the MNGOP’s best chance to move the needle in executive offices in a very long time. The DFL’s fraud problem should by all rights give the GOP a shot at governor, if the GOP can pick a solid candidate (and the straw polls so far say we just might).
And on the surface Richard Carlbom, the new chair of the DFL, doens’t appear to be the glib money master that his predecessor, Ken Martin, was. (And don’t you dare let anyone say he looks like a young Herman Göring).
Here’s the problem. Remember 2012?
The Voter ID Amendment – which is an 80/20 issue nationwide, and even wins a majority of Democrats in public opinion polls- should have been an easy winner.
But Carlbom engineering a campaign that emotionally logrolled ignorant, emotion driven Minnesotans into tying voting “yes” on same sex marriage to voting “no” on voter ID.
And the morons did it.
And he’s doing it again, with the ICE thing.

Republicans should institute weekly awards for the Dem politician who achieves distinction through corruption, unethical behavior, and misfeasance.
They could be called the John C Calhoun Lust for Power award
and the George C Wallace Jr Good Government award.
These nominations and awards could be delivered through every available media by multiple Republican candidates, each one detailing a particular means by which the Dem target failed the people of Minnesota (yet again).
Keeping hammering them with this mockery and the Republican candidates might actually win one or two statewide offices.
but to be honest I don’t think the Republicans have the grit for the necessary trench warfare required to burst the Blue Bubble.

… if they’re even reported

Of course, those morons have no interest in looking deeper at any of the inconsistencies and outright lies they’re told.

It’s really kind of amazing how Walz, Ellison, et al absolutely reject any culpability in the various fraud scandals. Heck, after denying that there was any fraud, now they’re claiming to be the only ones interested in actually prosecuting fraud. Without giving the details of what it is they’re doing (hint: nothing).

The confidence they have that their morons and immigrants (legal or not) will save them come election time is impressive and a little scary.
