Quid Pro Quo
By Mitch Berg
Part of being a conservative – and a participant in Western civilization, for that matter – is treating people as individuals rather than collectives. It’s one of the things that makes Judeo-Christian society objectively better than the alternatives.
But sometimes groups are gonna group.
Rep. Walter Hudson describes his observations after three years of reaching out to Somali leadership:
He stresses he’s largely referring to the community’s leadership, and with good reason; there are good Americans, and good Republicans, among Minnesota Somallis – because people, as individuals, have the free will to exercise their freedom of conscience.
But Rep. Hudson is right in saying that the community needs a lot more of them, and they need to actually move the needle within that community – especially since it appears the grifting dollars might start drying up soon, if the DFL doesn’t manage to gaslight its way out of this round of scandals.

Excellent video. I give him credit for making the effort to reach out, and for the courage to admit when his efforts failed.
If I can Monday Morning Quarterback for just a bit, it seems to me his fundamental mistake was treating tribal savages as civilized citizens. Of course they demanded cash and clout. That was their culture at home, they brought it with them, and they still embrace it.*
The dirt is not Magic. Simply standing in Minnesota does not make you a Minnesotan. You must shed your old ways and adopt ours. It takes years, possibly generations, of effort.
I’m not saying there are No Good Somalis in Minnesota. I’m pointing out the bad actors are still Somalis while living in Minnesota. They are not Minnesotans. Not yet.

I’ve seen charts – I think Trump posted one – that indicate that over 80% of Somalis are, after 10 years, still on welfare. Btw, this is also true for the Somalis living in Europe.
The Hmong came here are just about the same time as the Somalis. I’ve seen another chart comparing them to the Hmong and average MNs. The Hmong are successful (not generally on welfare).
This game of pretending that Somalis are 80-20 anything other than utterly useless parasites is exactly the kind of thing that prevents the deportation of those that are.

There were at least four Somali employees of the state government that called this fraud out. A couple of them did so over three years ago. Walz threatened them, ignored them, shunned them or outright dismissed them. As I have mentioned before, I have three Somali customers and two Somali prospects. Only one of them is angry over the damage that the scammers are destroying the reputation of all of them. Unfortunately, they say, this has led to the distrust of their customers to the point where they stopped doing business with them, despite a generally good working relationship. They have shared with me the clan structure that has been imported into this country and the difficulties with bucking a rival. In other words, a new model of the Chicago mobs of the 20s to today.

Good thing to watch; I am reminded of a friend of mine describing the behavior of honor-based societies vs. that of truth-based societies. Honor-based societies think they protect reputation by circling the wagons around people who do bad things, while truth based societies allow offenders to suffer the consequences of their offenses.
The end result is simple; honor based societies tend to hide truth and suffer for it. That’s why Somalis think they look good with 80% of them receiving welfare. That’s why many Wahhabis respond to their daughters choosing their own boyfriends by gang raping them. Well, she did shut up after that, no? Honor preserved, so to speak.
The key is to somehow penetrate this mode of thinking to increase the rate at which they become a truth based society.
