“…stepping beyond your area of competence is like stepping off a cliff — you may be a genius within that area, but an idiot outside it.”

By Johnny Roosh

Thomas Sowell comments on the perils of an administration dominated by academics; intellectuals; elitists.

What do you think of the Obama administration…?

It’s very hard to answer that without using language that is totally inappropriate in polite society. But it is quite clear that they believe it is their job to take decisions out of the hands of the voting public.

So what is Obama’s area of competence? Does he step out of it every morning when he wakes up?

His area of expertise – and in this area he absolutely dominates the field – is oratory. Not debate – that requires thinking on your feet and he’s not good at that – but oratory, where you read a prepared speech aloud.

He was elected because he’s a tall, slender Black man who looks fabulous in a suit, peaks proper American English with no racial accent, and reads politically correct speeches from a teleprompter like nobody’s business.

That’s still his only schtick, only now we’ve grown bored with this one-trick pony. A few bars of “Scotland The Brave” may be inspiring, but how much bagpipe music can you stand before you wish for Dropkick Murphy?

Coming from you kooks who voted an actual retard into office, twice, that’s pretty rich.

AC, first of all, the proper term is “Retard-American”. Second, some of us have never voted in a Minneapolis city election.

I’m with Nate. Obama has convinced people he’s a decent orator, despite the fact that he’s no match for Churchhill, Kennedy, or Reagan in that regard.

Speaking of retarded people, I think it’s pretty retarded to suggest that a man with two Ivy League degrees (and SAT scores above 1300) is retarded.

At least he could speak without a teleprompter. Does the old “Bush is teh stupid” argument ever die? Frankly he handled the country better than Obama has so far, and Bush was never told to MODERATE HIS ALCOHOL INTAKE http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1254684/Barack-Obama-try-harder-kick-smoking-habit-doctors-say.html. Can you imagine if Bush was told that by his doctors (when he was in office)?! The MSLM would have been all over that for months. Then again if Obama was blitzed when he came up with some of these plans I could understand. No sober-minded person could come up with this shit.

and Charlie Rangel. He is making ACORN look like choir boys.

Franken has only been elected to ONE term, AC. And we’re not even sure about that.

Yay – angryclown’s back on the job! I didn’t see any comments from him for a few days and then when I read Mitch’s post the other day about the guy who was electrocuted from whizzing on a downed powerline…well, I was concerned.

And Nate hits the low sliders out of the park!

Not to worry, NW – Clown’s never missed an episode of Ren and Stimpy.

    I was optomistic.

I assume that Clown wouldn’t do that as he’s likely familiar with the work of Ren and Stimpy.
