For Those Who Observe

By Mitch Berg

Merry January 6!

It’s one of modern progressivism’s high holy days – along with Roemas, May Day and Feast of the Entitlements.

Have a blessed January 6!

It took me a few seconds to understand what “Roemas” was…

My wife was telling me that while J6 did make the news crawl this morning, but it hasn’t made the actual broadcast.
I’m not actually surprised by that. After J6 2021, the GOPers that objected to certification were vilified as treasonous Nazis. If that was highlighted this morning, before Congress meets and Democrats object to the Certification (as has been posited in this comment section), that just opens up those Democrats to attacks.
After the Certification happens today, without any external complications, even if the usual suspects refuse to vote for him, I expect comparisons to be trumpeted throughout the Media. The Democrats will be lauded a principled for not voting to certify a felon, and no mention that it’s been a regular occurrence going back decades for certain members. The fact that DC was hit with a snow storm that would make Minnesotans and Dakotans stick to main roads but would normally pre-emptively close DC for a week will not even be mentioned, until the next, non political segment. And then a completely unrelated third post highlighting that our very own Senators Klobuchar and Smith are having slumber parties with their staffers in their offices because of the snow storm will shown to remind us how hard working and dedicated they are.

    Smith,
I wonder how many of Vanilla Fluff’s minions will be berated and abused?
