Symbolic

By Mitch Berg

Two stories emblematic of what tomorrow’s election means:

In New York City, a Marine veteran is on trial for murder for defending innocent bystanders against a man who was very blatantly threatening them:

The city has actively abjured enforcing public order; if you want to crap in public, mug or bully or terrrorize or attack people, close streets, run roughshod over the rights of others, the city could scarcely care less.

Misgender someone?  Exercise “bodily autonony” against Big Pharma? Own an unconventional pet?

Or try to protect innocent bystanders from the breakdown in order?

Suddenly they’re interested. Very, very interested.

There are many things at stake tomorrow. This is a big one.

Where are the PETA terrorists? What about the SPCA? Don’t they care about squirrels and raccoons?

Allegedly, some Karen from Texas, who can’t mind her own damn business, was the one that reported them.

    Boss,
PETA “Shelters” have a kill rate of 97%-98% from the last report I shared, and they’ve been caught stealing animals from people’s homes. I personally wouldn’t trust a PETA member to walk my dog or even to feed my kid’s fish.

PETA needs to die in a fire, repeatedly. They’d rather see animals dead than under the care of a human being. The current president Gretchen whatsherface has repeatedly said so.

Regarding Penny, I think he’s on trial mostly because (a) his restraint of Neely superficially resembled what Derek Chauvin did with George Floyd and (b) city fathers don’t want riots. One thing that I find very interesting is that the papers are stating the overall coroners’ conclusion, but not the toxicology results, or the question of whether Neely’s hyoid bone was broken. That, and apparently another video of the events has not been obtained, though the police do have that subpoena power.

My overall take is that if a decedent so restrained dies, and you find a lot of drugs in his system, you immediately reduce any charges a level or two, because you really don’t know how much those drugs contributed to his death.

And a final note; I cannot help but notice that Alvin Bragg is the prosecutor. Same guy who used an unnamed “crime” to amplify misdemeanors with an expired statute of limitations to felonies. Guy needs to be disbarred.
