The “Don’t” Doctrine

By Mitch Berg

The Babylon Bee remains America’s most legitimate source of news and analysis [1]:

So, you give billions in cash and even more in moral legitimacy to a regime thats sworn its intent to commit genocide, that murders its own people, and that has for two generations run espionage, terror and covert military actions throughout the Middle East and Europe, and they turn around and do exactly what they’ve always said they were going to do?

Put another way: Are you better off now than you were four years ago? If you live in the Middle East (Arab, Jewish or other), or Ukraine and Eastern Europe, no. Biden (and Obama “before” [2] him) unleashed the hell you are currently living in.

This is, by the way, the first direct, non-proxy attack on Israel from Iran:

Iran launched 185 drones, 110 surface-to-surface missiles, and 36 cruise missiles, with most coming from Iran and a small portion being launched from Iraq and Yemen, the New York Times reported. IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari said that, by about 3:00 a.m. local time, a small number of missiles had hit Israeli territory, causing minor damage to a military base in the country’s south.

Neville Chamberlain and Jimmy Carter’s legacies must both be profoundly thankful for Joe Biden.

[1] Along with the NARN, naturally.

[2] Cut the crap. He’s the real President today.

In case you’re curious, there are a number of sources, from the conspiratorial on Gab or X to state TV in Europe (Denmark), that are spinning this far less than deadly event as Iran wasn’t really trying; it was just theater. And that’s why Israel shouldn’t retaliate.

  2. Greg Says:

Imagine if Jill Biden (sorry, I meant Joe) was running the country in April 1945.

Against at the wanton destruction of Germany and the unfolding tragedy of the conquest of Berlin, she (sorry again, he) convinces the Democratic Socialists of the USSR to pull back and allow Hitler to retain power.

As is always the case, everything works out just fine.

  3. jdm Says:

… oh, yeah, almost forgot… this is *not* some conspiracy nutcase theory: Joe Biden Approved Iran’s Assault on Israel ‘Within Certain Limits’.

  4. bikebubba Says:

OK, Iran has shipped a couple thousand of these drones to Russia to use against Ukraine, and they’ve launched a few months’ production at Israel, but they’re not trying? Horsefeathers.

Reality is that until they hit something, the proper response to Iran is mockery. “What kind of idiot nation would buy drones from Iran?” Might take out two sets of dictators if we play our cards right, really.

  5. John "Bigman" Jones Says:

jdm, that comment doesn’t count. Biden also green-lighted a “minor incursion” into Ukraine which suddenly turned into the foremost problem for civilization and an endless drain on the fisc. What he meant was something completely different, and taken out of context, and misunderstood by the translator, and why are you such a hater anyway?

  6. jdm Says:

^ Thanks, Mr Jones, for clearing that up (my head hangs in shame).

  7. Greg Says:

Sorry if this is off-topic, but seven aid workers were killed by an Israeli airstrike last week.

    Tragic.

But exactly what were seven workers from Australia, Britain and Poland doing working for the charity World Central Kitchen in Gaza anyway?

I mean……think about it. Doesn’t Gaza have one of the highest unemployment rates in the world? Gosh, you mean they couldn’t find anyone with the special skills necessary to ladle out soup?

I mean….couldn’t World Central Kitchen just hire some non-Hamas Gazans rather than flying in bleeding hearts from all over the world?

Why is it that honky-white suburban kids and soccer mom’s feel the need to insert themselves in ___FILL IN THE BLANK____ to feel good about themselves?

Shucks, couldn’t they just cut a check?

Golly, if FULL FRONTAL RADICAL ACTIVISM is required to save one’s soul, – maybe, just maybe, it’s already too late.

    Greg, morons gonna moron:

Evil is a make-believe concept we’ve invented to deal with the complexities of fellow humans holding values and beliefs and perspectives different than our own.

I have often felt that way.

I mean, gosh, why are we so arrogant as to believe that developing hybrid corn and wheat to feed the world is somehow superior to beating your neighbor over the head with a branch then eating him….or her.

  12. Greg Says:

Western civilization is far superior to almost all other cultures because not only did it invent the scientific method, but it invented “show up every work day and be on time”.

I think anyone who has traveled in the third world can appreciate the second idea.

  13. bosshoss429 Says:

    Greg,
Apparently, a couple of local do gooders, local FBI whistleblower Colleen Rowley and some Vietnam veteran, are packing up a few thousand tons of food and medical supplies to take to Gaza. I didn’t get the veteran’s name, but he was interviewed on the radio and stated that he couldn’t stand by a do nothing, with people “deliberately” being starved and killed. Just like all of the other “aid” that gets sent there, HAMAS will commandeer it as soon as it’s loaded on trucks. They are just like DemolCommies they don’t do any work, but take the product.

  14. Bill C Says:

BH429: Are they merely packing up the food here? Or are they actually going over there to deliver it?

If B, my message is “Good luck with that, nice knowin’ ya!”

  15. Greg Says:

Colleen Rowley and some Vietnam veteran, are packing up a few thousand tons of food and medical supplies to take to Gaza

Are they that stupid and naive, or is this just theater for the benefit of those who are stupid and naive?

One has to ask themselves, with the $Trillions in aid available from The UN, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia and much of India (home to the second most populated country with Muslims).. what kind of blithering idiot thinks that they are in want of donors?

The real problem is getting aid past Hamas, Israel and the Egyptians, who hate Hamas ten as much as the Israelis.

Keep in mind that it is in Hamas’s interest for Gazans to starve and die.
