Tolerance For Tall Tales

By Mitch Berg

The Middle East is sliding into World War III.

Inflation is gutting working families’ budgets – but illegal immigration is gutting their paychecks, so the budgets are becoming irrelevant.

The exploding national debt is unsustainable, in ways that could very well make our society unrecognizable sooner or later.

And since “tall tales” are the issue here, we are of cours, led by a President who, on top of being demonstrably senile and corrupt to the bone, is a serial fabulist – about his childhood, education, his first wife and child’s car accident, his career, “civil rights work”, and Beau’s death.

But this is what Tina “The Giggly Butcher” Smith is yapping about.

Not to mention the media.

What a freaking moron! She moved here from New Mexico, thanks to General Mills whom I have boycotted for foisting her upon us. She has no clue that literally ALL of the out ring burbs were farmland. Of course, let’s not even mention the stupidity of Daily Beast.

It’s not World War 3. Biden has already issued stern warnings to Iran and Israel that we will not be getting involved. And when Joe Biden says something, you can take it to the bank.

Although if other nations get involved and Israel is suddenly swamped by Islamists bent on exterminating the Jews, there may be war refugees seeking amnesty in America. How many will we take and will we fly them in from Tel Aviv or must they come through Mexico to walk across the border?

A hand-in-glove example of the saying A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on. Now it may also be rank ignorance acting as a lie but the effect is the same.

And the worst part is that this accusation, if it gets off the ground, could quickly become an example of another saying if you’re explaining, you’re losing. I hope Mr Sheehy’s campaign is run by pros.

Ha, ha, ha, Tina! Now do Liz Warren!

Abortion Barbie is not an idiot.

She is smart enough to realize that the majority of her supporters are idiots.

Well, perhaps it is impolite to call DFL voters idiots, though it is extremely hard to distinguish the majority of them from actual idiots.

I attribute this to the DFL party and the media treating them like idiots, and as we all know people have a sad inclination to rise to what is expected of them.

  6. John "Bigman" Jones Says:

Democrats have nothing to campaign on except abortion. Their record on everything else – crime, inflation, international relations, employment – is dismal. So they hammer on the possibility of abortion being restricted if Democrats lose power.

Who does that pitch appeal to? “Hmmm, let’s see, the Minnesota Supreme Court says abortion is a fundamental right; Minnesota is a sanctuary state for abortion seekers and providers; we provide taxpayer funding for abortions; abortion is legal right up to the moment of birth; and sale of aborted fetuses for medical experiments is legal when the baby is dead. Better not vote for Republicans. Too much risk they might roll back some of these laws, put women in chains, make them all Handmaidens.”

    Seriously, who thinks that way?

  7. jdm Says:

^ I know someone who does, Mr Jones. She and her hubby binged-watched that Handmaiden series (whatever it’s called). Couldn’t get enough of it. Could easily imagine a world like that so they vote pro-abortion every time.

PS she once angrily yelled at one of those cart checker people at Sam’s Club in St Cloud because he said, “God bless you” as she was leaving.

  8. John "Bigman" Jones Says:

Don’t you wish the cart guy had said, “Oh, well then Devil Take You.”

It’s one or the other, lady.

    Big,
I have found that if someone criticizes my belief in God, by responding “burn in hell then, for all I care”, really seems to rattle them.

Thank goodness we have these hard-nosed journalists pursuing the truth!

I mean, no politician has embellished details about their upbringing or past, except:

    Richard Blumenthal
    Al Gore
    Joe Biden

I’m not sure why politicians, left or right, continue to embellish their past to appeal to voters. In the past, it might’ve taken an intrepid reporter, especially for fact-checking claims made by a left-leaning politician. But with so much information available on-line, anybody can fact-check this BS.

I’m old enough to remember when Brooklyn Center had beaucoup acres of potato fields. 1979. I ran a 5.5 mile loop 9 times in a MN AAU 50 mile race. Around potato fields. So I can believe Shoreview is rural. Maybe Tina Smith’s ancestors didn’t rape any settlers or scalp anyone there, but so what?

  12. bosshoss429 Says:

    I don’t know, dcs.

Tina was born in Albuquerque, NM, obviously on “stolen land”, so I’m willing to bet that her ancestors had a skirmish or two with one of the fifteen tribes that lived in that state.

^ I may be wrong (and often am), but I think you mean Brooklyn Park. It is my understanding that BC was developed like as Saint Louis Park, first ring suburbs. Back when Highway 100 was the outer limits for metro dwellers. I used to live in BC (mid 80s) and most of the houses there, especially south of 694, are vintage 60s ramblers.

In BP in ’85, the area north of 85th Ave (North Hennepin CC, east of Osseo) was still mostly open fields, potato fields, but suburbia was making its presence known. We later heard that some, many, or most of the potato farms in and around Big Lake were BP potato farmers who took the developer money and ran.
