Minneapolis Is Back Baybee!

By Mitch Berg

And if you say otherwise…

…you must be an uncool middle-aged white guy from Fridley!

I guess the upside is, jacking cars makes those kids too busy to commit the white collar crime that is this nation’s real problem.

Alright, finally we will start to arrest the little b******ds, scare them straight by sending them to juvie, making them pick up litter along ditches, eat bologna sandwiches and wear pink underwear and . . . wait, what? We’re not doing that?

“Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty says the initiative will . . . identify “at-risk” teens and pre-teens . . . so that social workers can then contact those kids’ family members, identify issues they’re facing and connect them to services to help.”

Services to help . . . like dust off the midnight basketball program? Hand them fancier cell phones? Free bus rides to Chicago to attend conferences with other “at risk” yutes to exchange tips and ideas? Maybe vouchers for Instacart grocery delivery, for those dwelling in food deserts without access to nutritious fruits and vegetables?

Oh yeah, that’ll do the ticket.

Are there any studies and/or data that indicate if not prove that Moriarty’s approach works? Her approach has been ongoing for some 70 years; there has to be something. Anything? Just one city/county where social services made things better?

Otherwise, the only success story we have (that I know of) is Guiliani’s implementation in NYC of the “broken window” approach. And why isn’t that being tried?

    What a silly question!

Of course this approach works precisely as intended.

It funnels money into the Social/Non-Profit/Industrial Complex, which is at the core of the DFL’s existence.

the single demographic stand out indicator of criminality is being black; whether they are a recent immigrant from Africa or part of the deeply entrenched (and subsidized) African American underclass. If the Broken Windows type of policing were to be implemented the prisons would rapidly be filled to overflowing with blacks which would be highly desirable optics for leftist propagandists.

“so that social workers can then contact those kids’ family members, identify issues they’re facing and connect them to services to help.”

This approach would/will quickly illustrate the need for more Social Workers. Many more Social Workers; at least 5,000 more just in Minnesota alone and the need for personnel in the Social/Non-Profit/Industrial Complex will quadruple. It is a full employment plan for bureaucrats.

What is truly amazing about Hyundai and Kia’s decision to save a few bucks by not including immobilizers is that there was a precedent to learn from.

Over a decade earlier, what was then Chrysler Corp. was slower in adopting the immobilizer technology than other automakers, and their theft rates rose in comparison. Once they started using it, thefts went back to normal levels.

But at least Chrysler made that mistake back when the technology was new. Hyundai and Kia have no such excuse.

Of course Hyundai/Kia never have to even consider this a design feature/failure for their cars in Korea. Don’t blame the car makers — the finger is clearly pointed at us

HennCo voters had a choice last fall: Moriarty, who made no secret of the fact that as County Attorney she would implement soft-on-crime policies, or Martha Dimmick, a black, female ex-county prosecutor.
The people have spoken. They want Moriarty & soft-on-crime policies.

Here’s a list you don’t want to be on, the top five stolen vehicles in Minnesota for the year 2020:
    2000 Honda Civic
    2000 Honda CR-V
    1999 and 2003 Chevy Pick-up
    1997 Honda Accord

The Emery Collective of thread-jackers, and Moriarity, are simpatico with the car-jackers. It’s the car’s fault!

  10. Maga Mammuthus Primigenesis Says:

2018 — Ellison elected state AG!
Massive increase in street crime, while Ellison focuses on defying Trump, and prosecuting businesses and cops.
    2022 — Ellison re-elected.
This is your new normal, Minnesota. If you don’t like it, move, because it ain’t gonna get better.

  12. John "Bigman" Jones Says:

More unintelligible rambling. The car maker is at fault, but don’t blame the car maker. What?

  13. John "Bigman" Jones Says:

Remember our little conversation about buying a gun? How the repeated lies turned into clown nose on, clown nose off? Different thread, same lying.

Because that’s who the group posters under the collective name Emery are … cowardly liars.

  14. Emery Says:

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  15. jdm Says:

MMP, that’s a curiously precise list of models and years. Chevy pickups between 1999 and 2003 have no or less interest. Also, the lack of specific models is interesting. And no Fords or Dodges at all?

  16. Pig Bodine Says:

    jdm
while there certainly is the joyride (jack’em and wreck’em) element involved, the vehicles on MMP’s list more often than not find themselves in a chop shop (chop, clean, box, & ship) where parts that are in high demand are sold off to independent mechanics – turns out used OEM parts will/do last longer than Chinese knockoffs

“You think the problem is savage, low IQ blacks?”

Yes I do, and I’m tired of pretending its not.

Son #2 drives a high performance V8 Audi. His latest insurance bill includes a new $180 “Minnesota auto theft prevention fee”

He lives just outside the TC metro.

That’s on top of new taxes.

Son #1 lives way outside the metro; no fee.

But hey! Y’all are getting $260 rebate checks!
