Plainly a politically motivated witch hunt, targeting a successful woman of color. Criminal charges for these petty offenses, while murders and carjackings and armed robberies are ignored?
Seriously, who among us hasn’t lied on a mortgage application? Who hasn’t falsely certified tax statements? Who doesn’t own three homes in various states purchased on a civil servant’s salary? Business as usual doesn’t usually result in indictments. Somebody went looking for dirt, specifically on her.
I’d take a serious look at who her primary election opponants are, and who they’re connected to. Who benefits if she goes down in flames? Not the people of Baltimore, they’ll be back under the Police State where Black men die in police custody, where murders-per-capita are a fraction of their potential, where people don’t fear to work and shop and play; and who knows what that might lead to?
It’s not a prosecution, it’s an assassination. Same as Martin Luther King. Shameful.

Joe: :^)
Regarding the acts for which Mosby is being prosecuted, my first thought is that it’s a shame that the matter before the courts isn’t her conduct in office. But that said, owning three homes in three states…..my thought about that is that if you’re spending a few weeks max at a place, have you ever heard of AirB&B? So what we have is someone cutting corners and lying on official documents to do something really, really stupid.

Unlike her hero, Patrisse Cullors of BLM, she’s using fraudulent mortgages, not syphoning money off the organization’s coffers.
