Cognitive Dissonance

By Mitch Berg

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

It snowed Friday night. Saturday morning I was running errands and was so excited to see a snowplow, I took a picture.

Then I remembered I don’t live in St Paul anymore.

I live on a snow emergency route. I hear them go by in the night.

Almost like I live by a city council rep.

Yup! Part of my sales territory in in St. Paul and South Minneapolis, so I know exactly what you mean. I’m not on a snow emergency route, but Bloomington keeps our streets plowed and potholes filled.

Saint Paul needs to hire an army of social workers, diversity consultants and activists to chastise those residents who still cling to the privilege of cleared streets.
