Dear Barack,
By Johnny Roosh
You’re killing me.
Dump Biden. You’re losing your grip on Pennsylvania, certainly at this point the only compelling reason to have selected Blow Biden.
You can’t undermine Governor Palin without appearing sexist and rallying more women to Palin’s side.
Hillary is still available. You’ll make history.
Sincerely,
Your Candidacy

Oh Obama, I bessech Thee to retain the long time Senator on Thy ticket. There has been so little honesty in Thy campaign that the inclusion of Biden is a true expression of the Change that Thou wilt bring unto D.C.
In Thy short time in D.C. thou hast striven for to bring much pork to thy home state
http://anti-strib.blogspot.com/2008/09/audacity-of-pork.html
and spoken much while saying little.
Surely the grace of Collectivism will descend on us all through the good offices of a skilled political manipulator such as the Biden.
And I look to the field-dressing of the Biden by Palin the Impaler in a honest debate.
Amen

Roosh,
Palin will undermine herself, and since when is criticizing an ignorant candidate sexist?
Gov. Palin portrayed herself as a ‘hockey mom’, she brought up her sex as a topic, it’s fair game. Obama may not want to appear sexist, but that’s just because the Democrats don’t play the game of character assassination half as well as you Repubs do, but it’s not about cultish personality campaigns, is it?
As far as Penn goes.. Obama is not apparently able to respond with the kind of zing that Bill Clinton could, and so, since you Repubs turn every campaign into an insult session about the Democrat, Obama will almost certainly lose. More’s the pity, as McCain represents the same old facsism, the same old corporate corruption and culture of greed.
Btw, when Lehman and AIG an Merryl go down, perhaps you’ll get just how much 28 years of conservative rule has f’cked this country.. but probably not. Why you think giving money to the rich means they’ll want to share it, is baffling, but it hasn’t worked. Yet, McCain seems determined to give more of the middle-class wealth and benefits away. Hope you like being a member of the lower class.
September 14th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
Peev,
How many moons orbit the world you’re on?
I know – it’s kind of an insulting question. But seriously – good Lord.
September 14th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
Mitch,
It isn’t isulting, it’s slightly fewer than orbit yours.
BTW – Mitch – fascism is right-wing extremism, only in your world is it not. Saying in one breath you believe in a freedom-totalitarian continuum, and in the next saying that fascism is leftist, is both self-hypocritical, and utterly silly.
Oh, and Gov. Palin, well, she just might be going in front of an ethics panel regarding firing her former brother-in-law, they subpeanaed her husband, she’s likely next. Seriously, good Lord. She’s a light-weight in terms of experience, probably suffering from truth withdrawal symptoms, and has some ‘splainin to do.. but HEY! along with 32 year Washington vet McCain, she’s an outsider.
But you’re right, you don’t attack people Mitch – nope, not ever… it’s not about that, nope. celebrity, messiah, the ONE.. nope… not ever.
Good Lord.
September 14th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
BTW – Mitch – fascism is right-wing extremism
Actually, it has been far more often left-wing extremism. But then history isn’t one of your strong suits, is it Peev?
I would suggest you endevor to investigate history. It”s really not all that hard.
September 14th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
But you’re right, you don’t attack people Mitch
Of course I do.
And you just keep pinning your hopes on that so-called “investigation” of Palin. It’s so cute when you lefties run off on your little fever-swamp tangents! But there is no there, there.
But keep hoping for it!
BTW – Mitch – fascism is right-wing extremism, only in your world is it not.
What on earth are you talking about? Where does that come up?
Suffice to say your point of view is EXTREMELY simplistic and a product of nothing but talking points designed mainly to safeguard left-wing orthodoxy. Mussolini was a died-in-the-wool socialist.
Saying in one breath you believe in a freedom-totalitarian continuum, and in the next saying that fascism is leftist, is both self-hypocritical, and utterly silly.
And even it if were true, it would be neither as dumb nor as meaningless as that sentence was.
September 14th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
self-hypocritical
Heh. That has got to be one of the most idiotically funny terms I have ever read.
September 14th, 2008 at 10:03 pm
Peev,
On the off-chance that you read things that might change, rather than reinforce, your views on things, I strongly suggest you read Modern Times by Paul Johnson. It has an excellent account of the ideological and intellectual links (and sometimes more tangible ones) between the likes of Lenin/Trotsky/Stalin on the “left”, and Mussolini and Hitler.
There is no way (short of mindlessly parroting talking points) to say “fascism” is a right-wing phenomenon.
Again, on the off-chance that you recognize authorities other than yourself (and whatever neighbor you might have who is a better-regarded historian than Johnson).
September 15th, 2008 at 3:07 am
Peev-
You know that I love you, man, but you’ve got to start making sense. Hitler and Mussolini were as modern as Joe Stalin and FDR. They looked to the future, not tradition, for moral justification. They weren’t conservatives.
September 15th, 2008 at 9:46 am
I second the strong suggestion to read “Modern Times”, both to penigma and anyone who has not yet read the book. It was an excellent read.

Back to being on-topic: what are the rules for switching VP after the convention? Anyone know?
September 15th, 2008 at 11:46 am
After the NJ Torricelli/Lautenberg fiasco of 2002 it seems clear that Supreme Court will allow political great leeway to political parties in their method of deciding who their candidate will be.
September 15th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
For a minute there as I read P’s inject, I thought I was reading the script to Monty Python’s HOLY GRAIL.
“King, I didn’t vote for you”
“We’re an anarchronistic…..”
“See the violence inherent in the system”
“Help, I’m being repressed”
September 15th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Back to being on-topic
thanks for that by the way
I can’t find it now, but I read that the VP candidate can be changed until some certain date, which escapes me but as I understood it, that date has not come and gone yet.
Anyone else care to give it a stab?
September 15th, 2008 at 2:13 pm
I’m sort of thinking that if Biden chose to resign, & the D Party appointed a replacement that would likely be kosher. The delegates at the convention do not nominate the VP candidate, after all. They nominate the Presidential candidate, & he/she selects the VP.
Like Terry said, the Dems don’t really seem to care much about the grass roots nomination procedure, & NJ is a precedence for replacing the nominated candidate with whom ever they feel, let alone the guy that is merely selected by the nominee himself.
Out of curiosity, what was the method used when Spiro Agnew resigned & Jerry Ford took his place? Was he appointed by Nixon then confirmed by congress?
September 15th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Anyone else care to give it a stab?
McGovern dumped Tom Eagleton after announcing he was “1000% behind him”. I’m not sure what point he was at in the campaign.
September 15th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
Mr. Shirt; you are correct about Jerry Ford. Look up the 25th Amendment for the better reference, of course.
And my take on Obama-Biden; if Obama says “bye bye Joe,” he’s basically torpedoed his chances of being taken seriously as a decision maker, even if choice #2 would be far better. This is an albatross he’s got to wear around his neck, if indeed Biden keeps flapping those big long wings.
September 15th, 2008 at 4:45 pm
On another note, I’m greatly amused by Penigma’s assertion that the Democrats can pick on Palin’s sex because she brought it up. Yeah, that’ll help them get the votes of working moms–just make sure that every one of them knows you’ll beat the **** out of them if they get uppity or out of line. Whatta strategy.
But he’s right on one thing. I think Venus has no moons, and he seems to be there. Heat’s getting to his brain, too.
September 15th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
I hope Penigma and everyone like him keeps right on with their sexist bashing of Palin.
It’s electoral meat on the hoof.
September 15th, 2008 at 8:51 pm
I had dinner last night with my former neighbor from the 5th district. He’s so left he canceled his Strib subscription & refuses to watch WCCO, because he seriously thinks they are part of the conservative media. I am NOT kidding or exaggerating, that is what he said.
I told him that when BHO announced Biden for VP, just about every conservative let out a collective “WHOO-HOO”. He was shocked, because he thought Biden was a killer! I just looked at him & quoted “Stand up, Chuck!” & then asked if Biden had ever stated his actual IQ.
September 15th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
I had dinner last night with my former neighbor
Who picked up the check (I wonder)?
September 15th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
Mr. Shirt; you are correct about Jerry Ford.
**ahem** It is at this point that I must announce that I,myself, am related to Gerald R. Ford, AKA Leslie Lynch King, Jr.
He’s my 4th cousin twice removed.
September 15th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
JRoosh,
Nah, This guy is a very generous guy. He’s picked up the tab way more than I. My wife & I cannot figure out why he leans so far left. He’s sort of an enigma himself, I guess, but he has a working understanding of English words & grammar. 😛

[…] I said it before, I’ll say it again: Barack, dump the dead weight! Hillary is your man. The Delaware Senator took issue with an attack ad from his own side in an interview with CBS, telling Katie Couric that the Obama hit on McCain’s ignorance of computers and technology was “terrible.” The ad paints McCain as out of touch — and all but calls him ancient — but doesn’t mention that the Arizona Senator’s war injuries actually prevent him from using computers for an extended period. […]
