Adios

Joe Doakes of Como Park – like me, a Ramco resident – writes:
Minneapolis wants the Vikings downtown, rather than in Arden Hills, and is willing to pay for the privilege of hosting those perennial losers.
When it comes to talking innocents out of their money, Tom Sawyer had nothing on the NFL. Minneapolis is about to learn that . . . again.
Better them than us.

The Vikings don’t want Minneapolis. The want all of that parking revenue they are losing now.

“The want all of that parking revenue they are losing now.”
Yes and about 45% of said revenue goes to the Red Star!

Yea, Kermit, I know that. I have to wonder how much the parking would cost if they moved out of downtown? Sorry, but some of those lots are up to $60. Charging that much for lots that are normally empty anyway, has always ticked me off. Even if, as the Red Star and other operators say, it is to pay for having staff, security and clean up, it’s still way too high. Besides, when I have tailgated in one of these lots, there isn’t much clean up to be done, because we police each other.
