Well, That Was Weird

My blog seems to have dumped a number of posts that I had up and running this morning.
If WordPress’ database is really that unstable, I might be a candidate for MT3.x after all.
UPDATE: I find I’m re-approving comments that I approved earlier today. It’s like the blog stepped 12 hours back in time or something.
Anyone?

I wish I had your problems. My comment database blew up thanks to spam and I have had a hell of a time putting humpty back together.

That’s odd – I’ve never had a problem with it. It’s possible that something barfed in MySQL – I’d file a ticket with your host and see if they can shed any light on the situation.

it sounds like your host had to restart/recover a server or database and you lost your most recent transactions

that must have been it. When I first noticed it, a piece I’d posted as a raw link and quote, and then edited into an actual post (at 6AM) reverted to the link and quote.
(And sat on the site, as raw notes, for a couple of hours before I could fix it…)
