Open Letter To William Hailer
By Mitch Berg
To: William Hailer
From: Mitch Berg, “uneducated racist”.
Re: Your ““NPR Exec says modern GOP party is controlled by the Tea Party whom are fairly racists and uneducated… I guess truth gets you fired” tweet
Dear Mr. Hailer,
Ryan Winker called. He said to chill out, you’re giving “smug, elitist twerps who write rhetorical checks they don’t have the intellectual funds to cash” a bad name.
That is all.

It’s easy to be a smug elitist when you know there are no real consequences for your actions. Forced to resign? No problem! Your liberal buddies have a nice, cushy spot waiting for you.
Now THAT’S validation.

The twit doth protest the tweet too much. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.

Hmm. Another indicator of “smug, elitist twerps” is the propensity to mangle Shakespeare in a failed attempt to be clever.

“uneducated” is patently false.

Hailer is confusing “learning propaganda” with “learning”.
Also Hailer seems to believe in what I call “Angry Clown Logic”, which finds that conservatives are both millionaire country club members and trailer-dwelling toothless hillbillies.

Another unsupported variant of “my political opponents are conveniently racist and stupid”? It’s probably in that “Faux Intellectualism For Dummies” book.
March 10th, 2011 at 11:05 am
“Faux Intellectualism” is all they’ve got, troy.
Well, that and faux snobbery.
March 10th, 2011 at 11:27 am
No Terry, the snobbery is quite genuine. It’s the basis of a wonderful panegyric often used to mask intellectual vacuity.
March 10th, 2011 at 12:00 pm
I’d rather make a failed attempt to be clever than make a successful attempt to be foolish.
March 10th, 2011 at 12:31 pm
Kermit-
“faux snobbery” as in “You think you were created by God, the glory of His creation? That’s crazy! I think that we are the result of random action in an unthinking universe & the cousins of monkeys. That makes me better than you!”
March 10th, 2011 at 12:47 pm
scoobrs, you managed to accomplish both in two short sentences. Bravo.
March 10th, 2011 at 2:26 pm
Thank you, Kermit. I’m learning from the best on this site. I love razzing you all.

The painfully obvious makes credit where credit is due quite simple.

Who is William Hailer and why would I give a flying fug about his/her/its opinion?
