Sickabee

Re: Aaaargh
Gentlemen,
Please use the occasion of the New Hampshire caucuses to put Governor Huckabee out of our misery and make the media shut the hell up about him.
The forces pulling Mike Huckabee to the fore in Iowa are fizzling 1,300 miles to the east, where, in New Hampshire, Mitt Romney holds strong on issues and personal attributes — and unthreatened by the religion issue he’ll try to lay to rest in a speech tomorrow.
Romney, a Mormon, is being challenged in Iowa by Huckabee, a Baptist minister whose support has soared particularly in some core Republican groups there — evangelical Christians, conservatives and strong abortion opponents. But each of those groups is less plentiful in the New Hampshire electorate, and far more supportive of Romney.
Thank you.

Nice hair, lots of money, and poll-dictated policy positions you mean?
Thought you were backing the thrice-married, gun-hating, abortion-loving cousin-fscker from New York.

I think New Hampshire is a straight up primary vote, not a caucus.

No, the pullquote asserted.
Thought you were backing…
then you know more about who I’m backing than I do, since I’m still totally on the fence. More than I was three months ago, in fact.

Huckabee seems like a natural to follow Bush. Except that Huckabee raised taxes to keep up with his big spending.
I suspect that many among the evangelical conservatives are tired of seeing their votes taken for granted, but their issues being ignored after each election.

It’s fun to watch the God-botherers and the Club for Growth kooks fighting.

I wonder if the Union goons and the Kossacks will employ automatic weapons in the streets of Denver next summer?

Mitch, I think both camps favor blunt objects. Lead pipes being bad for the environment and all, I guess they’ll be choosing between wood and aluminum.

More appropriately named Huckster. There is one reason and one reason alone that Huckabee is making such headlines. Between Huckabee, Giuliani, Romney, and Thompson, Huckabee is the only one of those four that Shrillary has an even chance against. Giuliani and Thompson would slice her up like the illegal Mexican immigrant chefs do to the shrimp at Benihana’s. The Drive-By media damn well knows it, and they’re burning the candle at all 117 ends to make sure Huckster’s the GOP nominee.
Huckabee is no more republican than Lieberman.

Wow, Bill C. You’re pretty dumb. Huckabee’s doing well in Iowa cause he’s the only one of the bunch who’s not a raging asshole. He’s actually likable. And a whole lot of the wacky religious kooks in your party can’t abide a Mormon or a thrice-married, abortion-loving, gun-hating, cross-dressing adulterous cousin-fscker. With Brownback out, a lot of them are taking a look at Huckabee.
As for slicing Hillary, Rudy chickened out in 2000 when he had the chance. And Thompson hasn’t proved to be sharp enough to slice warm butter.
So you’re kinda stuck with a choice between two RINOs from the northeast. Hey, we’ll either get gun control or socialized medicine. Woohoo!
“Boohoo, the media is boosting Huckabee!” You wingnuts are so silly.
December 7th, 2007 at 11:30 am
Bill, the media loves a fresh story. Huckabee is providing that right now.

Sounds like Huckabee’s your choice for GOP too, AC. Christ, how pathetic.
If Huckabee takes the GOP, Hillary will pretty much win by default, and the GOP will deserve it. They won’t have brought a knife to a gunfight, they will have brought a plunger. And then our country get a lot worse before it gets any better.

Peter, you give them FAR too much credit.

Angryclown isn’t real enthusiastic about candidates who don’t believe in evolution. Angryclown’s rooting for Rudy or Mitt. They’re pretty liberal.
