The Army Of Davids

This might explain the protracted effort on the part of the Democrats and media (pardon the redundancy) to smear the Tea Parties.

The Tea Party is winning:

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 52% of U.S. voters believe the average member of the Tea Party movement has a better understanding of the issues facing America today than the average member of Congress. Only 30% believe that those in Congress have a better understanding of the key issues facing the nation.

When it comes to those issues, 47% think that their own political views are closer to those of the average Tea Party member than to the views of the average member of Congress. On this point, 26% feel closer to Congress.

Only one of these numbers troubles me:

Finally, 46% of voters say that the average Tea Party member is more ethical than the average member of Congress. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say that the average member of Congress is more ethical.

I thought we’d win by at least a 2:1 margin.

  1. Rasmussen, eh? What does FOX have to say about the matter? And how about the Michigan Militia Pennysaver for a more liberal viewpoint?

  2. Rasmussen, eh? What does FOX have to say about the matter?

Have you noticed that the week after you huff and puff at Rasmussen, the Gallup poll pretty much echoes the Raz’ results? And the others pretty much fall into line after that? (Except for Zogby, which really IS as biased as you say the Raz is, but which never seems to reflect reality, and may still be predicting a decisive Coakley in in Massachusetts…)

  3. “Army of Adolfs” is just a little more apt.

First they ignore you, (check) then they laugh at you, (check) then they fight you,(look at the media now) then you win.

    Were about to win 🙂

  4. Those Michigan types are using the same tactics as Palestinian-Arabs. Maybe Jimmy Carter can come in a broker a land for peace deal.

  5. Mitch, how about providing one stop shopping for Minnesotan’s hoping to catch their congress critters for a little one-on-one quality time?

Where’s Betty! going to meet the people?

  6. Army of Davids funded by Freedom Works – yeah.

Ok Mitch, apparently slightly more than half of the people trust you Tea baggers slightly more than they trust a body of people that only 23% of Americans approve of at all..

Wow, talk about your faint praise. Perhaps you can next compare yourselves to dog catchers and used car salesmen.

I thought you didn’t pay attention to polls? Well, I guess you do, and so since you do, perhaps you can note that the country is now pretty much split on the health care bill, sooooo, considering a couple weeks ago only 40% approved of it, it seems as if now about half trust Congress to have done something right, and the other half, well, about 20% of the people didn’t think they went far ENOUGH, so that means, by contrast to the Tea Baggers, 45% of whom think Obama is a Muslim, Congress gets a 50% approval on healthcare whereas the Tea Bag terrorist get 30%, and you’re right, I would have thought it would be 2:1 – ha ;).

  7. Pen,

Army of Davids funded by Freedom Works – yeah.

Please show how the tea parties are “Paid for” by Freedom Works. Show actual financial connections between the DC-based organization and the many state and city organizations.

You can not, because they do not as a rule exist.

And even if they did, so what? The left has “Media Matters”, “Organizing For America”, “International ANSWR”, the “Center for Independent Media”, “Common Cause”, “Center for American Progress” and any number of other groups that actively funnel money and expertise out to the provinces. Even if FW DID fund Tea Parties – so what?

Ok Mitch, apparently slightly more than half of the people trust you

    And rising.

    Tea baggers

Look, Pen. I try to stay civil, and I run a MUCH freer discussion than, for example, you do on your blog.

But you kindly will refrain from using that pejorative on my site. It’s a repugnantly uncivil term, and I won’t tolerate it from anyone who claims to want a civil discussion.

slightly more than they trust a body of people that only 23% of Americans approve of at all..

    More is better.

Wow, talk about your faint praise. Perhaps you can next compare yourselves to dog catchers and used car salesmen.

This is an increasingly lame response.

I thought you didn’t pay attention to polls?

I keep them firmly in perspective.

  8. Hmm. 45% of Tea Partiers think Obama is Muslim. I wonder which orifice Peev pulled that number out of?

  9. I think Peev is pushing some ‘see how crazy the conservatives are!” manufactured data.
A Kos-associated droog hired Harris polls to give him some talking points. Harris dutifully produced a poll designed to amplify extreme opinion by asking provocative questions and using self-selected respondents. If the same technique had been used to test left-wing insanity it would have yielded similar numbers for liberals who believe the the 9/11 truther nonsense, Bush held seances with Hitler on Christmasday, George Washington was a reptile alien or whatever the nasties on their side believe.

  10. I’ve heard Peev is a reptile alien. Of course I can’t prove it, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true.

  11. Kermit

My next door neighbor (whom I can’t name for fear of peevish reprisals – although I will provide Mitch his credentials secretly by email through a lackey intermediary) is a famous herpetologist (name is prominently displayed on asih.org) who has spent years monitoring several aberrant species of semi-sentient reptiles and has documented, photographed, and gene-sampled teh Peev and classifies him as a member of the Squamata Group – his observations were corroborated before the recent unpleasantness by Dr. Min-Hsiung Liu, the Chief Medical Officer of the USS Tulon.
So yes Kermit you are absolutely correct and there are experts to back it up.

92.4% of all Peevs stats are made up on the spot

  13. The poll exposed:

The weirdest quote in the article is from Kos ‘imself; “I’ll do this for you, @MysteryPollster — design a ‘wingnut’ poll that would be valid in your eyes, and I will run it.”

So Kos actually seems to think that nearly half of republicans are birthers. From this we can fairly conclude that Kos doesn’t know many Republicans.
I don’t like Kos. In an interview he talked about his military experience & praised the fact that in the army you were part of a group, everyone looked out for everyone else, you got three hots and a cot as well as free health care, dental care, and schooling.
He never even mentioned that when you are in the military you are not free.

  14. Swiftee, hopefully she’s not at a club in West Hollywood called “Voyeur”.

Actually, that wouldn’t surprise me….I’m guessing live, simulated lesbian sex is right up Betty!’s alley.

    Peevish Boy is a hypocrite!

    FACT.
