Delusions Of Adequacy

Found in the comments for a Facebook page story about someone someone who intended to, um, evacuate into his ex-girlfriend’s car, but, er, left it in the wrong one:

Sounds like an urban legend. Or possibly a new strategy for Tea Baggers! Throw your soiled Depends diaper into the offices of a Democratic congressman! (And hope you have his real address, not his brother’s!) Then skeedattle post haste on your Rascal (TM) mobility scooter, paid for by Medicare!

 Er, yeah.

With enemies this stupid, who needs friends?

Remember when Republicans were the “dumb” party?

I’m feeling better about November every day.

No, no no.  Unlike the media and Steny Hoyer, I’m not going to say this is a reflection on all Democrats.

I won’t even say “if you all don’t rebuke this bit of slander, it’ll “speak volumes””!

That’s just how I roll.

  1. Chuck, the difference between face book and journalism are things like potential libaility for libel, and requirements for confirmation by multiple sources, and access for complaints.

That is presumably why Palin, for example, uses face book and twitter so much, and not so much takes interviews with what you describe as ‘MSM” except for pre-approved softball questions.

  2. Mitch, I didn’t see any working link with this post. What about thsi story is political exactly, rather than purely – if disgustingly – personal?

Where is the designation Democrat or Republican?

  3. When Dog Gone says anything like:

“That is presumably why Palin …”

it’s likely to be followed by some unsupported expression of negativity for Palin. I’m not a huge Palin fan, but the “irrational hatred of Palin” thing does you no credit, Dog Gone.

  4. “confirmation by multiple sources”

    Deegee or Simone?

“Um, he’s sick. My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.”
