Top-Flight Leftyblog
By Mitch Berg
This is what passes for a top-flight leftyblog.
Great thinkers, indeed.
(Safe for work – if you work among morons).
If intellect were gasoline, the typical top-flight leftyblog couldn’t drive a Prius around the inside of a Cheerio.
That is all.

Whew! That was an experience in projection.

To give a little background: the blogger at Sadly, No! cherrypicked through years and thousands of comments to find that fairly short list. The original context of all of them is that a visitor had dropped a turd on the Protein Wisdom site that moved Goldstein to write such commentary.
The best part is that the effort to discredit Protein Wisdom backfires, because Goldstein’s writing comes off as funny.

Yeah, they’re big on that.
I remember when Kos posted John Hinderaker’s office phone number and told their hordes of droogs to start calling. They hammered his office with abusive obscene calls, to the point where the secretary was getting REALLY shook up. After all that, Rocket finally uncorks at ONE of them – and for the past three years, the dhimmisphere has been referring to “Hinderaker’s meltdown”.
Never mind that he eats all their lunches daily.

had to give up a third of the way thru it. No matter how much someone pisses me off, I generally loose interest in a few paragraphs. This guy seems intent on writing a book. Projection is an interesting thing though.

Nice work there, Woodstein. That SN post is about a year old. Perhaps you meant to link to this, a more contemporary snippet from a “top flight leftyblog” that details the conservative blogosphere’s continuing spiral into irrelevance.

why would anyone intentionally link to something from Oliver Willis? Unless your going for the irony of connecting OW with the words “continuing spiral into irrelevance.” Then I could see it.

Well, there’s two minutes of my life I will never get back. Replace all references to Bill Clinton with George Bush, Hillary Clinton with Karl Rove, and throw some John Kerry in there and you have the last 8 years from the left side. Plus only 5 comments before the obligatory Nazi comment. I missed when he actually “details” much of anything other than making a decent case that there are a lot of nuts surfing blogs these days.

Yes, while the conservative blogosphere continues to spiral into irrelevance, the lefty ‘sphere continues to score victory after victory. Why wasn’t it just last year that they helped that upstart Ned Lamont unseat a sitting US Senator? D’oh! But this year surely their influence his helped John Edwards surge to the front of the Democratic field, right? Double d’oh!
