Riding to work was a huge rush yesterday morning – especially racing down Cathedral Hill with a brisk tailwind!
Riding home from work, on the other hand, was a character-building ordeal, plodding up Cathedral Hill into a howling headwind.
Note to self: Figure out how to get the wind to shift during the day.
Mission clock is at T minus 60.
Good for you, Mitch, get out there and rush and race and ride!
My top speed last weekend was 115. (on the ice)
Snowmobiling is a dangerous hobby and not a serious transit solution.
Darn straight it can be dangerous; it’s definitely not for the faint of heart, so those afraid of risk need not apply.
Mitch, it depends how badly you want to go ice fishing on a large snowed-in lake, sometimes a sled is the only serious practical transit solution. 😉
Horrid song. Have fun though.
When the wind from the North cools the land,
Ride west on Seventh to Grand.
When turning and climbing to Dale,
The wind from your right will then pale
It’s perhaps a bit longer,
But at Summit, you’ll be stronger,
And the ride home will allow you to sail.
(I always was a lousy poet.)
