President Trump
By Mitch Berg
Joe Doakes, once of Como Park, emails:
Too many Americans, and Far too many Republicans, think there is only one important issue, my issue, and any time President Trump spends on Other issues is time not spent on My issue, and therefore wasted time, the big dummy.
Imagine you wanted to change the global economy to make America the dominant superpower for decades to come. How would you do it? Maybe by getting all the oil producing nations on our side? Capturing Venezuela’s production, uniting the Middle East against Iran, isolating Russia, securing the Strait of Hormuz. Doing that.
Imagine you wanted to change the American economy to make America the dominant superpower for decades to come. How would you do it? Maybe by imposing tariffs on imports to spur domestic production, bringing manufacturing back to our shores instead of sending it offshore, renegotiating trade agreements with Canada and Mexico in our favor, and kicking out illegal aliens working for cheap who undercut American employment and wages. Doing that.
Imagine you wanted to guarantee free and fair elections to keep America the dominant superpower for decades to come. How would you do it? Maybe by cutting off the money-laundering schemes running through welfare and non-profit and foreign aid programs which funnel money to America’s enemies, and by exposing foreign influence and domestic corruption in recent elections. Doing that.
Imagine you wanted to do all that while most of Congress is actively opposing you, the judiciary keeps blocking you, the media puts you under a blackout, and people keep trying to shoot you.
I used to think President Trump was only the third greatest president, after George Washington and Ronald Reagan. I’m reconsidering my opinion.

I’m with Joe, and Trump, on a lot of this.
His gubernatorial endorsement, on the other hand…
