Sydney Sweeney (the Good Jeans ad model) is in trouble for climbing the hillside to hang her new line of fashion bras on the Hollywood sign. She didn’t get permission from the owners. Here’s the final photo:

You’re telling me this millionaire hot chick spent hours climbing all over the sign to personally hang bras? I wouldn’t have believed it. I would have bet real money that her publicity company hired people to do it, that hers is merely the name on the label, that she had no idea what permits are needed.
Here’s the video. I would have lost that bet. Awesome prank. Good for her.
I certainly hope the DA doesn’t prosecute poor Sydney. She could wind up a convicted felon and get stuck serving as President of the United States. Wouldn’t wish that on anybody.

It’s just very gratifying to me that despite the crap that was heaped on her and American Eagle by jealous, fat liberal women with nose rings and blue hair, her line has been extremely successful. Further, I bought 200 shares of AE stock just before the false narratives began, so I’m up almost 60%. I’m also extremely happy that the leadership at AE didn’t back down. They were rewarded.

This marketing illustrates to me while, though I agree with her on many things, I just can’t get into her career. Just too much going close to the edge and emphasis on her physical attributes. Nothing against attractive actresses–I’ve seen a lot of movies with Maureen O’Hara, a few with Sophia Loren, and more–but all of those actresses combined a lot more depth than so far Miss Sweeney has (or has been allowed to??) shown.
Side note is that the bra stunt was done on a smaller scale by O’Hara in “The Parent Trap”.
