Dumbest Kirk Takes
By Mitch Berg
I can’t pretend this is a comprehensive list. I don’t think humanity can measure this level of stupidity.
But I gotta try.
I’ll save the worst for last.
Well, gosh, “Kalvan”, I think the difference might be that literally the entire state of Minnesota including the entire GOP closed ranks around the families’ survivors, and the GOP repudiated everything to do with the guy when it turned out that even though he was nuts, he was a nut who spouted some right wing chanting points. That, and the fact not a single significant person said “Well, political murder is baaaaaaaad, but when you jam down abortion mandates and kid-transing and gun control you gotta expect some blowback…”
Can you see the difference, “Kalvan”?
I keep asking progs who parrot this to tell me – what evil things did Kirk say?
And I’ve gotten a few back – every one of which was ripped completely out of context, context which is available out there.
I don’t love the whole “get people fired” thing, personally.
But forget for a moment that progs have been going after conservatives’ jobs (also shooting them) for years. It’s not the government “censoring” people. And maybe, just maybe, “it’s good someone I disagree with died” is an “opinion” that deserves some opprobrium.
And in the responses to that one:
Make you first shot count, Sparky.
Is the point that “pageant winners are promiscuous?”
And the mangling of the whole doctrine of “submitting”
Is this a Richard Carlbom burner account?
Now, most of the above are dolts, rage farmers and Don Lemon.
But these? These (read the whole thread) are elected DFLers:
Make sure you scroll down to check out Ilhan Omar’s contribution, on Mehdi Hassan’s podcast.
And Richard Carlbom, executive director of the MN DFL:
So “Hey, Fascist, Catch” was an ingenious hipfake. Got it.
It’s been a depressing week for observing humanity.

I guess I need an explanation as to why I should care that Kirk’s assassin is left- or right-wing? It’s all part of the attempt by the DemoCommies to muddy the water and distract, but really why does it matter?
I think that it’s pretty well known (legally speaking) who the assassin is, but it is clear as day that most if not all DemoCommies were insanely jubilant and gloating about the murder. It is this aspect that is important politically and well, socially too. Long pointless discussions about “groypers” takes the focus away from pointing out what evil mf’ers the DemoCommies have revealed themselves as.

A buddy explained it to me:
Your free speech is violence.
Their violence is free speech.
See how simple that is?

I would also like to thank you for including that tweet with Miss Arizona 2012. I know what the point of the tweet was (hypocrisy! Charlie Kirk is a hypocrite!), but the picture was a very nice change from all the (quite frankly) ugly, blue-haired, nose-ringed screechers than normally come.

I agree, Mitch. I’m not a fan of either causing or helping someone to be fired. Unfortunately, these are the same people that have “Coexist” stickers on their Priuses, have “All Are Welcome Here” and/or “We believe…” signs in their yards, doxx ICE agents, unjabbed people and others that don’t agree with them and called for boycotts of Target for removing their LGBTQ section. They had no remorse over doing any of it.

it is worth noting that a “deletion discussion” is currently taking place on wikipedia as to if Erika Kirk is “notable” enough to merit a page of her own
some first class leftist misogny on display there

if someone chooses to publically express odious opinions and you facilitate their reach for an audience, you are not responsible if it comes to the attention of an employer who choses not to have that person represent them. Their comments caused the termination, not you.

I’m absolutely fine with getting these idiots fired, @boss. Game Theory is a real thing, and it dictates that not responding the Left’s “cancel culture” with an equivalent action is a losing strategy.
The idiots started this game, and Game Theory and Alinsky both say we have to play it or lose.
I really wish we weren’t in this situation, but the Right didn’t start it, but maybe we can make it stop.

What the hell is a “groyper”? Some clever prog used that in a response to my comment relating domestic abusers “look what you made me do” to leftists’ “look what you made him do.” She also mentioned Nicholas J Fuentes. Whoever the hell that is…
Bigman:
Your free speech is violence.
Their violence is free speech.
Yet again, echoing former SItD commenter Kermit: If it weren’t for double standards, the left would have none. (Side note, I’ve typed that phrase into my phone enough times that it is now fully in my autocomplete suggestion bank, word by word. LOL)
I agree with nerdbert. We didn’t start this, they did. We’re simply deciding to now throw their own game using their own rules right back in their faces.
I really wish we weren’t in this situation, but the Right didn’t start it, but maybe we can make it stop.
The only way to stop a bully is to fight back and hurt them worse than they hurt you.

BillC, the impression I have is that groyper like so many other “modern” politico-social slang is loosely defined, but this might help:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groypers
It’s not totally wrong from what little I know.
I would mention, in agreement w/ nerdbert and BillC, that the right wing is not actually firing the insane lefties. What they are doing is making the management of the institutions where the lefties work aware of what some of their employees are doing. If the mgmt decides to ignore it – or even if they agree with the activity – then nothing more is done.

Bill C asks, “what the hell is a ‘groyper?'”
I assume it’s someone very bad and along the lines of Orly Taitz, whom my lefty acquaintances demanded I denounce 15 years ago, even though I’d never heard of her (I did find out Taitz was a her). Still not sure why I supposed to denounce Taitz, but I’m sure she was a very bad person who said bad things and thought bad thoughts and was generally icky – one lefty referred to her as “Oily Taint,” which sounds quite bad and likely unsanitary.
