I think Tim Walz loves us all and just wants the best for us.
Just a quick comment about your show yesterday. I don’t know how you got him on, but I give Mike Norton big kudos for coming on and talking.
Proposed Trump speech:
“I have been hearing people insist it is essential for the United States to support Ukraine in the war with boots on the ground. I am always willing to listen to different opinions but people need to put their money where their mouth is. If the people of this country are truly willing to fight and die for Ukraine, I need to see it.
When Pearl Harbor was attacked, Americans thronged to the recruiting offices to sign up for military duty. They showed their resolve by their actions. Congress responded by declaring war and this nation entered World War 2.
I haven’t seen a similar display of resolve for this conflict, I only hear voices without action. To determine the depth of the nation’s interest in war, I have directed agencies of the US government to review social media pages to determine who changed their pages to display the Ukrainian flag. I will give those people a week to report to their local recruiting center or, if they are too old, for their military age descendants to report for duty. In our all-volunteer military forces.
If Ukraine supporters generate enough volunteers to make a strategic difference in the war effort, I will ask Congress for a formal declaration of war on Russia. I will also ask the nations of Europe to join us in entering World War 3. In that event, our military will train, equip and send service members to the front lines.
If not – if the loudest voices show support only for OTHER people to fight and die in a distant foreign land – then I will ignore those voices and stay the course of putting America’s interest first. After all, that IS my job.”
Nothing stopping Americans from going to Ukraine right now to fight. If it’s that important, go for it. It’s a twofer: you get to leave TrumpAmerica and you can kill Russians. Until you get killed.
dcs,
You beat me to it.
I find it laughable that all of the Slava Ukraini types, that are protesting HERE, should volunteer to ship out.
I’ve seen some videos from alt media types showing an area of Ukraine that used to be a predominantly Christian region. On these videos the allegations are that the Christian residents have been killed by Nazi Azov soldiers and moved out, quickly replaced by Jews imported directly from Israel. There are checkpoints at the entrances to this region, manned by “policemen”dressed in uniforms that you would see anywhere in the U.S., most likely paid for with our tax money, asking people wanting to enter the area, if they are Christians? If the answer is yes, they are told that they can’t enter the area.
I’m starting to think that Trump is part of the same hydra that is the uniparty. The Blackrock “purchase” of docks in the Panama Canal, under the guise of “taking it back for the U.S.”, doesn’t pass the smell test. Upon further digging, I learned that Blackrock and Vanguard own about 40% of the area in Ukraine where all of those minerals are located. Trump’s creditors are set to make windfalls there, so is he a sell out?
Listened to Mitch’s show Saturday. He was interviewing some leftist troll from X, and took the opportunity to once again slag Mississippi’s pathetic public schools. I thought, jeeze, isn’t that getting old yet?
Guess not.
So I will take this opportunity to once again remind you scary smart Northerners that according the NAEP scores from the past decade, those mouth breathing hillbillies are getting the same level* of public schools failure Minnesotans enjoy, for roughly1/2 the price.
So, who are the dummies now?
*Actually, for 2022, Mississippi 4th grade reading and 8th grade math scores were better than Minnesota’s.
LOL, the elitist snobs in MN would never admit MS is outscoring them.
Oh, don’t get me wrong. MS is miserable, just not quite as woke as MN and a lot less of a burden to taxpayers.
The budget for troon library days is $0
Regarding Ukraine, it is somewhat stunning that too many on the right see the decision as either “give Putin what he wants” or “send Americans in there.” The Ukrainians are, within bounds, ready to fight, and the point of reluctance is to send the 18-25 year olds–more or less the future fathers of the country. Given Ukraine’s current demographics, I cannot blame them. Putin has largely spared his favored ethnic groups, in particular western Russians, from a draft for precisely the same reason.
It also is a big misreading of how one can defeat the Russian army, which makes up in tenacity what it lacks in skill and equipment. A Tannenberg scenario is unlikely simply due to different battlefield dynamics, so what we’re left with is providing them the systems they need to interrupt the Russian supply chains.
I’m sure that Bennie Thompson is getting wealthy off of his constituents.
