Seriously, it is somewhat shocking that, instead of using a budget windfall to pay off bonds and reduce the cost of government for all, the DFL instead chose to “lock in” an increased cost of government. Even those who believe that government ought to have an outsized influence in society ought simultaneously to understand that the burden ought not be excessive–except for those disgusting perverts who think that would be a feature and not a bug.
